Sad news. My first ever Wolves keeper.
Dad sat me on the front wall of the South Bank every week, right behind the goal. He seemed enormous. All the kids used to throw him packets of Wrigleys.
Seen him tell some fabulous stories. Funny bloke with the Wolves in his blood. 😔
Someone respected by both sides of the divide. Phil born a West Bromwich lad but played for our neighbours. A warm, kind gentleman, we all loved to spend time in his company. A Wolves legend, great keeper, you will be missed by us all Lofty.
Condolences to family & friends RIP
Take a trip back to America in 1982. 🇺🇸
The clothes, the cars, the stores, the music, the technology… even everyday life looked completely different.
44 years later, does 1982 feel like a better time to you?
Legendary Wolves goalkeeper Phil Parkes sadly passed away this morning at the age of 79.
A larger than life character and a true Wolves hero that will be missed by everyone associated with the club.
Wolves have lost a legend with the sad news of the passing of Phil 'Lofty' Parkes at the age of 79.
Lofty, who passed away peacefully this morning, was not only a great goalkeeper but a wonderful personality with a big heart.
Our sincere condolences to Greg, Dean and the family
A Worthing FC dad and his lad with an early start, and grinding out a 722-mile round trip all the way to Carlisle for a National League fixture.
Fair play to them both. 🫡
We are deeply saddened to hear that legendary Wolves goalkeeper Phil Parkes has passed away at the age of 79.
A true Molineux great and an unforgettable figure and character in Wolves history, Phil gave supporters so many proud memories and will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Old Gold faithful.

Saddest of coincidences that ex-Wolves man Phil Parkes passes away on the birthday of his namesake, the former West Ham goalkeeper Phil Parkes.
Both great keepers in their time.
