💸 As of tomorrow, Los Angeles County will have the nation's highest sales tax rates, with some cities as high as 11.75% sales tax. Because they don't already have enough money with 14.4% income tax, high property/gas/utility taxes.

Highest taxes in the POOREST cities - Palmdale & Lancaster, 16% poverty rates in these desert communities. Now paying 11.75% tax on everything they purchase.

I moved to CA in 2013 from New Hampshire, which had 0% sales/income tax, nearly 0 gas tax & vehicle registration fees, but which had next to zero crime, great roads/schools. Why? Because they don't openly STEAL the money. They don't give drug addicted and/or lazy "homeless" people $2 MILLION beachfront condos for life (including all utilities AND HIGH END groceries from stores I won't even step foot in like Bristol Farms)!

Unless something changes immediately, California will soon become a state for the extremely rich & the extremely poor, with no middle class to speak of. And once the remaining extremely rich are driven out by taxes to pay for all the extremely poor, it'll become a failed state as there'll be no one left to pay the high taxes.

For comparison gas prices have increased 35 cents in Republican states and the price of gas is nationwide is $4.48
