Kenya is now 2nd in Africa in EV charging stations, with 235, behind Egypt’s 300.
But the bigger question is: where does the battery come from?
-Africa(DRC Congo) has the cobalt.
-Zimbabwe has lithium.
-Zambia has copper.
-Mozambique has graphite.
-Congo has manganese.
Why aren't we making batteries?
China has the factories. Europe has the brands. We have the mines.
We export the rocks. We import the cars. Then we celebrate the sockets.
Why shouldn’t Africa process the minerals here, make the batteries here, assemble the EVs here, and sell them to our own market?
Charging stations are the last mile. The factory is the first.
Or is our role still to dig? We need to fix this now.
JUST IN: Kenya has reportedly signed a minerals deal with the US valued at $62.4 billion, with reports indicating the minerals will be processed locally.
That's about KSh 9.7 trillion.
Kenya's external debt? About KSh 5.7 trillion.
Imagine having a resource capable of wiping out nearly all foreign debt and still leaving trillions on the table.
Imagine future budgets where taxes fund development instead of interest payments.
Imagine a stronger shilling.
Imagine a government that sees national wealth and thinks "debt reduction."
Now stop imagining. Wake up.
We have leaders who see national wealth and immediately start thinking about new funds, new projects, new loans, how much they can steal, and new opportunities to eat.
That is why many resource-rich countries remain poor.
BREAKING: A man interviewed by Citizen TV during yesterday's 7 pm and 9 pm news broadcasts made allegations that should concern every Kenyan.
He claimed that some police officers operate alongside goons while dressed in plain clothes.
He alleged that they participate in robberies, attacks on civilians, and other criminal activities.
He further claimed that plain-clothes police officers were among those involved in the attack on All Saints Cathedral last weekend.
And according to him, if some of them are arrested, they are later identified and released from police custody.
These are serious allegations.
But what makes them even more disturbing is that they appear to answer questions Kenyans have been asking for years.
During the 2024 and 2025 protests, many Kenyans watched goons move freely in the presence of uniformed police officers.
We saw videos of businesses being looted.
We saw shops being burned.
We saw civilians being attacked.
Yet in many cases, arrests never seemed to follow.
At the time, many people could not understand what they were seeing.
How could criminals operate so openly without consequences?
How could goons appear so confident around officers who were supposed to stop them?
Now, a man has come forward with allegations that seem to offer an explanation.
Whether his claims are true or false, they demand urgent investigation.
Because if those allegations are true, then Kenya is facing something more dangerous than goons.
A goon can only terrorize a few people.
But if criminals are receiving protection from within institutions that are supposed to stop them, then every Kenyan is at risk.
The most chilling part is that this would mean the line between those protecting citizens and those preying on them has started to disappear.
The police officer you are meeting at the station might be a friend of the one who robbed you.
For me, this is exactly why I say Ruto must go.
A country cannot function when the people meant to protect citizens are themselves facing allegations of participating in the very lawlessness they are supposed to prevent.
William Ruto was elected to punish Kenyan voters for electing bad leaders.
He's not in office to bring development but to show Kenyans what incompetent, clueless & corrupt president can do when given an opportunity to lead.
Liverpool FC can confirm Arne Slot is to depart his role as head coach with immediate effect and that the process to appoint a successor is under way.
He leaves with a Premier League title to his name and our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
The Ruto government is just too much. These guys wake up every single day just to conjure up more ways to cause pain to Kenyans. I know we are expected to keep government in check as opposition but it’s literally impossible to keep up with the breadth and depth of the capacity for evil these guys have. It doesn’t have to be like this bwana. When we tell you just kicking Ruto out solves 80% of our problems you best believe! Just like he did with Haiti and now Ebola, for the right amount, this one can sell us to the devil himself!
KeNHA closed Chiromo Road for months. @KeNHAKenya DG I want you to look at these pictures and explain to Kenyans with a straight face how a road you just repaired has potholes before the paint is even dry.
This is not incompetence.
Incompetence is accidental.
This is deliberate.
You used substandard materials knowing exactly what would happen because the same road will need repair again and the same tender will be issued again and the same people will eat again.
The pothole is not a mistake.
The pothole is your business model. 😐

Children need sleep. It is common sense.
Waking up your children at 4 am to go to school is ignorance.
Pre-teens (9 to 12 years old) should be asleep by 9 pm and wake up at 6 am.
Early schoolers (5 to 8 years old) should be asleep by 8 pm and wake up at 6 am.
Preschoolers (3 to 5 years old) should be asleep by 8 pm and wake up at 7 am.
Toddlers should sleep. They should not go to any school or day care.
Children must all take a 30-minute to 1-hour afternoon nap.
Sleep is necessary for brain development, hormonal health and mental hygiene.
We are raising human beings, not robots.
Dear President Ruto, managing and running Kenya is very easy, simple & clear. Just follow the Constitution. Obey the Rule of Law. Obey Court Orders.
You find it hard because you are abusing your office for personal gain.
Your incompetence is coded in your greed.
Senator Boni Khalwale has raised something extremely important in the Senate.
He says:
Nairobi has over 70% of roads tarmacked.
Murang’a, around 60%.
But Kakamega is at 17%.
Bungoma 16%.
Mandera0%
Many people will rush to scream “tribalism.”
But I think Kenya suffers from a deeper problem, I call SHOWROOM Towns.
Kenyan leaders are obsessed with developing headquarters and town centres so visitors can see a “modern image” of the country.
And this is not just a national government problem.
Counties do it too.
Go to Kakamega, Nandi, and Kitui towns, and you will see decent infrastructure.
Move outward, and the difference becomes painful.
Even in counties considered “developed,” once you leave the main towns, reality changes fast.
The solution is not just more money.
The Senate should force counties to distribute development across ALL wards, not just headquarters and CBDs meant for optics. Otherwise, MCAs will find themselves having to deal with this exact issue.
Three-quarters of Kenyan politicians led by the president own gambling companies yet the money Kenyans lose gambling magically reappears at weekend harambees. We need answers. Let’s have the Gambling Regulatory Authority tell us which politicians have stakes in these companies.
Getting Ruto out of power can’t and must not be the only agenda. It’s an agenda, but not and cannot be the only one.
The MAIN AGENDA must be the complete structural and institutional overhaul and transformation of the incurably defective colonial system which imposes, protects and sustains charlatans like Ruto in power. The system which was DESIGNED to subjugate Africans to servitude and to perpetuate impunity of the few over the majority.
Unity of purpose must be based on a common progressive, revolutionary and transformative ideology, vision and program of action; not mere sloganeering.
Anyone who aspires to unite with Fred Matiang’i, Uhuru Kenyatta, Babu Patel and other CRIMINALS who have maimed, tortured and murdered innocent Kenyans is part and parcel of the rotten system Kenyans must overhaul and transform.
Those shouting that the only thing that matters is to remove Ruto from power without ARTICULATING their vision and UNVEILING their transformative programs only want to INHERIT the same rotten and incurably defective system so that they continue perpetuating impunity—just like Moi, Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto did (is doing).
Kenyans must reject the recycling of imperialist and Zionist lackeys whose primary agenda is the continuation of the neocolonial anti-people state for their self aggrandizement!
The illusion of replacing leaders
2002: “We just need to replace Moi.”
Nobody cared about fixing the system.
2007: “We just need to replace Kibaki.”
No talk of systemic change
2022: “We just need to replace Uhuru.”
Infact vote Ruto to punish Uhuru
2027: “We just need to replace Ruto.”
Same illusion. Anyone but Ruto!
2032: “We just need to replace whoever”
A broken system eventually reproduces the same outcomes, no matter who sits at the top.
Can we discuss how we can reform the broken system atleast?
