Since I’m in a much happier & more free place in life now, I thought I’d share a few miracles God did for us. God has no favorites so I hope this encourages anyone who is in a dark hopeless place like I was in back then. None of this is boasting- we were scared & shook after our story went public at the end of 2024 but God covered us under his wings and sheltered us.
Ok so here’s what followed in 2025-
- Jonathan felt led to work in finance something he was passionate about when I first met him 15 years ago. I was thankful he had a plan and if he worked from home I would be so happy 🥰
- We needed a fresh start but had no idea where to go. We prayed and then a precious couple (not in ministry, just private people) heard our story, contacted Laura Lynn, and invited us to come stay on their RANCH IN MONTANA WITH HORSES AND MOUNTAINS- WHAT I DREAMED OF FOR YEARS AND YEARS!!🤯😭.. we go there, and see a dream home they had built, white, perfect & brand new- they said it was ready for us and we could stay as long as we wanted. More than anything- we weren’t alone, we felt like we had parents there. They loved us so well. Also we were living in paradise. Also God had friends & church community ready for us. ONLY GOD.
- We sold our home & moved to Montana, the kids go to a small country school down the road-Jonathan worked hard & God blessed his work. We went on sweetest road trips to enjoy nature & quality time. We drove all over Montana, Bozeman, Yellowstone, Seattle and even Canada - Banff!!! We rode horses, went sledding with friends & saw grizzly bears up close. It was a time set apart for us to really heal & enjoy our kids.
- By December 2025 we both felt strongly it was time to return to Texas. Thus our story of 2026 begins and we have no idea what’s to come but we’re soaking in peace. God made every crooked path straight and so we’re not worried about the future AT ALL. Whatever God says to do, we will do.
He is a God who makes all crooked paths straight for all who obey & trust in HIM.
To GOD be the glory.
@suzycatlamb "For a little while, if necessary, u have been grieved by various trials, so that the genuineness of ur faith-more precious than gold.. is tested by fire.." I Pet 1:6,7. I pray that u sense the presence of God during this time.
@GreyMatterConvo Intimacy anorexia? Have heard Doug talk about this with no sensitivity for the one withholding intimacy. Suppose you were cajoled into a marriage then found yourself taken for granted. Have u ever interviewed an anorexic to learn their side? Were they are cajoled introverts?
@Daystar@RebeccaLambb When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Prov 16:7).
According to my limited understanding, both sides are partly right & partly wrong. Both sides are in angst.
@GreyMatterConvo It would be interesting to survey those withholding intimacy. How many are introverts? How many of those complaining of intimacy withholding are extroverts and narcacists? Doug usually covers both sides of conflict issues
@JohnBevere Canaanite woman seemed to use emotion to good effect (Mt 15:21-8). Many fell at Jesus' feet begging for mercy & were healed. I think the commonest reason our prayers are ignored is due to being lukewarm (Rev 3:15-9). Consider Is 59:1,2, & ask God to show if u have hidden sins
@PinkApricot2@FlowersPraise I agree Daystar should stick to religion, but the many people who got the vaccine also died of COVID. And some people had the vaccine and suffered side effects.
@DaystarJoni@Daystar Yes, the anointing is transferable, but you can also get your own. Look at William Seymour and the Azusa St revival. William labored to receive it, after he received it, visitors received it effortlessly.
@RennerRick I think our authority becomes stifled when we are living in lukewarm commitment (Rev 3:16). I often hear the benefits of Christianity touted w/out mentioning the conditions.
@JohnBevere We all know that a day is as 1,000 years to God, & how Daniel learned that the 70 yrs Jer prophesized were not literal yrs. Yet, I have never heard it suggested that the 7 yr tribulation might not be 7 literal yrs
When @RennerRick tells of getting sick, he describes first sinning (not marrying Denise), then catching a tropical disease. We are protected from the pestilence of Ps 91:1 only when we are walking w God w our whole heart. I'm unsure if reciting Ps 91 is enough
@JellyRoll615 I have rewritten some of the lyrics of "I don't know how to love Him," from Jesus Christ Superstar. Would like to share it w you. My revision make it more devotional & less secular.
@CBNGordon I think too many of us take an ostrich approach, of "I don't care how or why I got answered, just glad I got answered." Deciphering our successes may help us get results more frequently. This could be useful for teaching.
https://t.co/zwpatDn9iQ At 40 min @CBNGordon describes praying successfully for alleviation of his mother's pain. I ask @CBNGordon
did you pray more fervently when you got answered? Perhaps, it was more desperately, or persistently. Perhaps your prayers had cumulative effect
I only recently "discovered" Hillsong. Enjoying the early YouTube videos, but annoyed w commercials. Is there a list of Hillsong DVDs? Hillsong website has lot of children's DVDs & seems to lack much early adult worship videos @DarleneZschech
