Apple might be right.
There's no money in llm itself.
OpenAI and Anthropic are in pure competition with Chinese labs in race to the bottom of price while ever more difficult effort to improve the models.
Then there's Apple sitting back and letting billions and billions roll in doing nothing.
And when the time comes, Apple can rebrand the llm layer with some Chinese frontier lab's open sourced llm calling it Apple Intelligence and call it the most privacy focused AI there is. People will pay for monthly subscription for 9.99 because it's integrated with iOS at OS level and apps will develop around it.
Do nothing and win. The apple way.
The global sulphur market continues to tighten: In addition to banning the export of its own sulphur, Russia has now also halted the export of Kazakh sulphur from Russian ports, its primary export route.
This has particularly impacted net importers like Morocco, which sourced ~45% of its sulphur imports from Kazakhstan in 2025. Office Chérifien des Phosphates Group (OCP), the Moroccan state-owned fertilizer producer is cutting back production by 30% citing lack of available sulphur or sulphuric acid.
The sulphuric acid we produce at our Kamoa-Kakula copper smelter is vital for maintaining other copper and cobalt mining operations across the DRC Copperbelt. We are currently retendering and repricing the sulphuric acid offtake contracts, with the latest contract priced at $725/tonne.
Been saying this for months. AI compute will become near free as we trend towards local models.
Hardware will be the limiting factor between the patricians and the plebeians.
The laptop hasn't changed in 30 years. NVIDIA just changed it
RTX Spark is their first PC chip ever.
- RTX 5070 level GPU
- 128GB unified memory
- 1 petaflop of local AI
- thin, light, barely throttles unplugged
Your AI agent lives on the machine. 24/7. No cloud.
This is step one of the agentic AI PC, and everyone else is about to copy it.
RIP Bloomberg Terminal.
Someone just open-sourced a desktop app that does most of what a $24,000-a-year Bloomberg seat does, and it runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Fincept Terminal ships with:
→ Full CFA Level 1, 2, 3 analytics implemented in Python
→ 20+ investor AI agents (Buffett, Dalio, Graham, Soros, Lynch, Klarman)
→ Hedge fund presets: Bridgewater All-Weather, Citadel multi-strat, Renaissance stat models
→ 100+ data connectors including Polygon, Kraken, DBnomics (100M+ series), World Bank, IMF, OECD
→ Visual node editor to wire data sources to Python agents to MCP tools
→ 3D globe with live AIS ship tracking, aircraft paths, and satellite orbits
→ Local LLM support so your positions never leave your machine

The successful individuals of tomorrow will strive to be well-versed and proficient in multiple disciplines whereas previous generations only had to optimize for one skillset.
As the post-modern world continues to be ever so uncertain, having multiple skills and deep knowledge on a wide range of topics, coupled with a flexibility/willingness to relocate to other geographies is a big differentiator.
Eric Weinstein just described the end of the mapped life.
For ten thousand years, humans had to earn the right to exist.
Pick a noun. Become the noun. Die as the noun.
Accountant. Teacher. Radiologist.
The box had a name. You climbed inside and stayed until retirement or death.
Weinstein: “Every occupation that is named is over.”
Not automated. Not replaced.
Named.
You picked a noun. It told the world who you were. Then it told you who you were.
If your future has a title your parents recognize, that future is already dissolving beneath you.
Weinstein: “A tsunami of a lifetime is coming and nothing your elders have seen is gonna prepare you.”
People hear this and assume it’s about unemployment.
It’s not. It’s about identity.
The machines aren’t absorbing tasks. They’re dissolving the categories we built ourselves around.
You spent your whole life becoming a noun. The noun is about to stop existing.
When the label disappears, what’s left of you?
Weinstein: “Get flexible. Get good on a bunch of different stuff. Learn how to think across disciplines.”
Stop being a noun. Start being a verb.
But the most important thing Weinstein said has nothing to do with strategy.
It touches something much older. Something closer to the bone.
In a world where AI is world-class at everything, what is the point of a human being?
Weinstein: “I think you should be able to just have a life. I have a golden retriever. I don’t know that it’s the greatest golden retriever in the world.”
For ten thousand years, human worth was measured by output.
How much you could lift. How fast you could think. How much value you could squeeze from a single day.
We trained ourselves to think like machines because machines didn’t exist yet.
Now they do.
And they will be better than us at every measurable thing.
Most people hear that and feel terror. They should feel something closer to relief.
When a machine can do it better, the metric dies. When the metric dies, the cage opens.
You were never supposed to be a spreadsheet. You were never supposed to justify your breath with a job title.
Your golden retriever doesn’t optimize. It doesn’t produce quarterly earnings. It doesn’t prove it’s worth to anyone.
It just lives. And you love it anyway.
That was always the offer. We just couldn’t afford it.
Now we can.
We spent ten thousand years trying to prove we were machines.
The machines just arrived to tell us we never had to be.
Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet.
It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back.
You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.
Brazil has all the natural fundamentals to be a world power. Despite 200 years of high hopes, it still isn’t one.
Brazil is a case study in how dysfunctional political institutions squander great potential.

The whole point of life is to just BE.
We’re not called human DOings, we’re called human BEings
We get caught up in DOing a bunch of things to live a fulfilled life. True living, however, comes from just accepting the vessel you are in and being present, witnessing the sights, soaking in the sounds, the tastes, the smells.
so let me get this straight
all of ai twitter was telling people to buy a mac mini to run openclaw, which is literally just a framework, an orchestration layer that sends api requests to actual ai models. something you can run on a $5/month vps. which is exactly what i do btw
but when google drops gemma 4, an actual large language model that you can run and fine-tune locally on that same mac mini, with no api costs, no subscriptions, no third party dependencies, completely yours under apache 2.0
the ai community is silent
you were buying $800 hardware to run a wrapper but ignoring the actual ai model that would justify that hardware
this tells you everything you need to know about the average iq of ai twitter
Option 3: Skip the AI vs vibes paradigm. Get involved in energy, mining, physical commodities, or real estate and hunt for arbitrage in inefficient markets.
Let others cosplay online where the barriers to entry are low and instead build in the physical world where the barriers to entry are much higher.
While they prompt their chatbots and try to vibesmax, you roll up your sleeves and move barrels, tonnes, and square footage.
Time will tell who actually built something.
you need to decide to be one of two archetypes:
1. ai-maxx so you can 24/7 commune with codex, claude, devin, droids, gstack, or
2. vibes and looksmaxx in order to 24/7 social climb and bro out with richer and more powerful people
those are the only two jobs left.
