@MuseraSnyder@iam__odinho@cchukudebelu Scary. But this isn't racism bro
Those xenophobic locals you're talking about are also black, they are just incredibly evil!
The riot didn't happen *because* the Africans were black
@MuseraSnyder@iam__odinho@cchukudebelu This is true.
Tbh bosses in the Middle East lack human rights in general, South Asians get the same experience.
But I agree with you, it's tough for young Africans period
@NWORDI_@cchukudebelu I'm not invalidating. Young Africans do have it HARD
I was talking about *racism*, as that's what I felt the post was about & I don't believe Africans can exp. racism like AAs
But tbh we still have: tribalism, poverty, insecurity.. in that aspect young Africans have it harder!
@MuseraSnyder@iam__odinho@cchukudebelu So I don't agree Africans exp. racism in Africa, but I know/acknowledge that living as a young African is much harder than living as an AA.
Africans suffer from problems regardless of racism. e.g. tribalism, corruption, insecurity.
Yeah I agree with you!
@MuseraSnyder@iam__odinho@cchukudebelu This is terrible! I know. You are correct, it is harder to be a young African than an AA.
Originally I felt AAs suffered more from racism (Jim Crow, KKK, "fabricated" racial superiority, slavery)
Whereas Africans cannot exp. racism bcs Africans are the ones in charge..
@iam__odinho@MuseraSnyder@cchukudebelu You made a good point.
I should've also factored in the corruption that takes place within the government,
I agree being a young African is hard.
I guess I was speaking more from a standpoint of which side suffers more *because* of their race
@Dinneya_@cchukudebelu It's only recently that AA's have been climbing the social ladder. "African sufferings" can be controlled by 'Africans' in power, whereas AA's sufferings are something they couldn't control bcs they're a minority and held 0 political influence. They were victimised.. (slavery)
Amgad Salih, a 19 year old student from Peckham who is studying at the University of Oxford, shared this picture that his friend organised. They recreated the typical Oxford Bullingdon picture but with black students, to show black representation and inspire more Peckham people.
