@SharpFootball What do you mean “still”? Bears fans know better than anyone that the McCaskey family doesn’t have a shred of competency as owners of an NFL franchise.

@TroIledByFields @blazinJayx@nagtabonbeach @beardown_17 True. The fact that the QB4 in his draft who the league valued less than Zach Wilson and Trey Lance turned out to be a top 24 QB in the NFL is actually pretty impressive.
@SSG_Drose00 @stephisntclutch@BartiWOD@2KEVlN You know this isn’t the “time to pressure” metric, right? The stat you just used factors in QBs holding the ball too long. TTP is the metric that describes pressure as fault of the OL. You won’t like what those numbers have to say about JF, but I’m assuming you don’t care.
@tlschwerz@AdeamJames Jimbo Fisher gave an interview less than a week ago on PMT and literally called Jameis the smartest player he’s ever coached. He also raved about his leadership. His teammates have adored him every stop along the way. What a shitty thing for you to say.
@OnlyDaBears1@reasonablebears@MaxMarkhamNFL I get the sentiment, but Desai was promoted from within and didn’t have any other DC offers at the time. He didn’t go out seeking the Bears job.
@OnlyDaBears1@KCARC_@cbsgy12@MaxMarkhamNFL “I’m so confident that I’m great at a job I’ve never done that I’m going to go to the most toxic situation available so I can clean up somebody else’s mess and have a 1 year leash, instead of choosing a better situation with a new head coach.” Yeah that might happen.
@cbsgy12@OnlyDaBears1@MaxMarkhamNFL Being Justin Herbert’s OC or OC of one of the rookies guarantee you more job security than tying yourself to Flus and Fields who are 100% on the hot seat next season. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think the best of the best will be rushing to come to Chicago to take the job.
@goatinelli_ @DaBearsZach@Chicago_Jay1@MaxMarkhamNFL Unlikely anyone who has options of being an OC elsewhere is choosing a make or break situation in year 1 with a lame duck HC though. I’m afraid it makes it more likely that they promote from within. Also Flus has already made 2 really bad hires at DC and OC…
@OnlyDaBears1@MaxMarkhamNFL Because Flus will be one unsuccessful season from being fired. No young up and comer will want their first (and maybe only) chance at being an OC in a situation where he know’s his job is in jeopardy after one year, and neither will a veteran play-caller. It’s not a good spot.
@scottbears85@BearReport Exactly. No young up and comer will want his first (and maybe only) shot at OC to be with a HC/QB that are 1 year away from being axed. No veteran play caller is dealing with it either. Not like Flus has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to hiring a staff anyways.
@tyler_huisman @B_Willijax Preach. Also, I’d imagine the 49ers wish they could redo 2017 and take a QB (Mahomes/Watson) instead of drafting Solomon Thomas to “build the team”
@REMILOVESPORTS They desperately tried replacing Mitch after year 3, but didn’t have draft capital (let alone #1 overall) so they traded for Foles and with the limited Covid training camp/no preseason, Mitch was QB1 to start the year. He was benched in game 3. What are you talking about?
@WaddleandSilvy This was bad, but the Packers game was a nightmare. One of the worst regular season losses in recent memory. A whole off-season of hope was just gone. No more Rodgers. It was supposed to be different this time…it was not.
@seabeesports@millerfootball_ @will10942 @jaycTony Ekeler, Allen, and Williams have only been on the field together 9% of snaps over the last two seasons, but keep pretending like you have any clue what you’re talking about.
@jman30179@degen_bearsfan @B_Willijax Nobody EVER said the QB4 in his class who was drafted behind Zach Wilson and Trey Lance (and was passed up by multiple QB needy teams) was generational. The flaws that caused JF1 to fall in the draft are still prevalent. This is just an absurd statement.
@BearsSox4ever@MaxMarkhamNFL 1. There’s zero chance there are 4 “excellent” QBs that will be taken at QB3-QB6 in the draft.
2. If you like a QB enough to think he’s a franchise guy, other teams will think so also. You can’t bank on them being there when the draft wraps back around to you.
Seriously?
