having 30 of them die on my watch was too much guilt (plus $140 I don’t have). somehow, the person I bought them from found my post and offered to send me all new ones, plus everything I need, for free. so now I’m crying like a baby because so many strangers were so kind to me 🥹

Things were already on the decline obviously when it happened but the Scott Pilgrim movie releasing was 9/11 for alt subcultures. Genuinely overnight every alt space was infested in guys with khaki shorts and zelda shirts looking for 'their' Ramona Flowers. It was the death blow.
