Proud of our Hawks tonight.
Did I want us to win? Of course. But, we faced a strong team, and it deserved to win over 40 minutes.
Reaching the Elite Eight in a rebuilding/transition year is impressive.
@RickPatriot76 The article discussed the Illini-Iowa rivalry. As a lifelong Iowa fan, I enjoyed it.
If you think that my sharing scripture with you and encouraging you to use discernment when addressing others is "gaslighting," I can't help you. Put down the phone & read the Bible. James 1:19
@RickPatriot76 And, even if it was a bot, how was what you said beneficial to the conversation? Comment on the article, not other commenters--especially ones worth ignoring if you don't think they're legitimate. Save yourself some heartburn, brother. Enjoy the weekend!
@RickPatriot76 Sir, I read the article. It was informative. The other person's comment didn't merit the reponse you gave. If you're going to claim Christ and make that the centerpiece of your account, you ask to be held to a higher standard. Prov. 10:19; 11:12; 17:27-28; 21:23; 29:20; Amos 5:13
@RickPatriot76 Rick, it's a poor witness to engage in name calling. Remember that you're putting yourself out here as representing Christ. Please act accordingly, and don't be a reason for people to discredit the Lord. Thank you.
@wearetherace BBV10s needs an episode about famous sponsorship deals that went sour, e.g., Haas/Rich Energy, Jordan/the fake sheikh. It wouldn't be solely about the V10 era, but it's a deep dive that the crew would be good at discussing.
@mnwild The rest of the season, whenever a member of the gold medal team visits St. Paul, we should recognize him during a TV timeout. The State of Hockey loves American hockey, and it would show respect for the guys' accomplishment.
How do you build a legacy?
You work hard.
You push your limits.
You realize that last year's banner won't win you anything.
You work together.
It takes a team to build a legacy.
Congratulations, @Gilbert_XC!
It's hard to "row" with consistently broken oars. Minnesota people can hate us all they want; we'll continue beating the Gophers and keep Floyd.
Go Hawks!
For perspective on Dryden's dominance, Martin Brodeur and Dominik Hasek each won/tied 68% of their games played. Patrick Roy was at 67%. Imagine entering a game knowing you have just a 15% chance of losing, because of your netminder's excellence...
Ken Dryden is an all-time hockey legend. Yet, there was much more to the man than a HHOF career that included winning/tying 85% of his games played & 6 Stanley Cups. His 1st book, The Game, remains my favorite--aside from the Bible--of any book I've read.
