@RyanHanaWWP I realize that Yzerman suggested during his end of season presser that some tough decisions needed to be made, but I was hoping that would only entail shipping out players that I dislike. I should've known better.
@Steinner92@DetroitRedWings@NHL Maybe it's less about IQ and more that people are upset that Lombardi never got a real a shot at the DET roster despite being nearly a point-per-game player in the AHL at a time when offensive upside needs to be valued more highly, and also just generally liking the guy.
@m_bultman Hmm. Unless that 4th is part of a bigger deal, I don't like it. Ammo deserved a shot at an NHL roster spot. Though I guess now he'll get one?
That's one hypothesis, sure. But plenty of other people hypothesize that the longer Yzerman holds firm on what he wants in return and drags this out, that the opposite will be true, and the return will be even greater.
Who is right? And what evidence is there from similar, past negotiations to suggest which hypothesis is stronger?
@HockeyWithDevin Even without Robertson this is how they should approach it. It’s time to see what these prospects can do. How they respond to potentially getting to be the 1C or 2C for an Original Six NHL franchise would be very interesting to see.
@BradKrysko I'm ok with an extended period of silence so long as Yzerman eventually ends it with a loud "bang" of a trade for Larkin that nets a return greater than what OTT got for Tkachuk.
Fingers crossed that we get the "bang" instead of a fart sound, ofc.
@HockeytownEvan Hmm. Maybe they're thinking that Stenberg is as good as Ecklund right now and with more upside? Then they'll take a D-man at 9th overall?
@NateSilver538 Yes, but people really *like* big shiny distractions. Why deprive them of one of the few deliverables that American politics can still reliably produce?
@RussoHockey@TheBookGirl25@TheMugNHL Yzerman should drag this out as long as it takes to extract the maximum possible return, and maximum suffering for Larkin.
@DoeJumars@313Hockey@JimCosta_ Danielson played a very limited role on the Wings last year, and on lines with terrible players like Rasmussen. Also got injured and was out most of the season. Hard to call him a bust just yet.
He needs more ice time in a bigger role to fully develop.
Well, if you wanted more proof that AI overviews are killing clicks to publishers, here's the last 3 months YoY from search console for my punk rock hobby blog.
- Impressions more than doubled, because it gets tons of citations in AI overviews
- Average position more than cut in half, again because it shows up a lot in AI overviews
- CTR more than cut in half, for the same reason
- Down 50 clicks (despite the more than 2x gains in Impressions)
I guess it's a good thing that this is just a hobby website and not monetized.
What a super cool time to work in #seo
