Croaker

Just an old guy attempting to get back into the gaming and tech he used to love.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Exactly. I'm getting ready to shift out of a career that has been stable and "safe" for me the past 18+ years after walking away from what I loved (tech) because I didn't have the resources at the time to take my education further while taking care of family. Now I'm an old fart and have spent the past 2 years getting everything organized to make that leap. It's terrifying yes... But I've been working my ass off to give my self a foundation to start from even though it's starting from scratch so to speak.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Found the boxes of Apple 2 family of software now. This is like going back in time...

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Another find... Still wrapped. Anyone remember Electronics Boutique?

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Jackpot! I found the totes with all my disks! These are three boxes out of the 19-20 that I have for the c64. I have to get my hands on a rocking 1541 now...

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@VirtualJames Thank you. That one is my baby.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Finally! I hit paydirt on my first hardware box from storage... It powers on just fine but I need to find a way to clean it up and make sure the disk drive is ok before I risk testing some of my disks... I love this SX so much. The stories it could tell from all of the meetups it's been to. I've had this since I bought it in 1985 I believe (might be 1984)

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@VirtualJames Heh! I was actually going to look into some this evening. I'm about to go through some more boxes from storage and I've got the big again really bad to set my collection up in my office.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

I don't even know how I ended up with this I've never had an Atari computer... I've always wanted one though. Any suggestions for what I should get? #Atari #RetroComputing

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@TKsMantis Freaking Prime.... I'm dead

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@VirtualJames I loved my Odyssey 2. Quest for the rings was a fantastic game that just drew me in to that system.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@BrandonPerna They need NERF uniforms.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

Just finished this great Starship print and I think it came out great! This thing is huge though.
The model was made by Larsvommars on makerworld... His work is incredible!

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@MuseumCommodore @stats_feed That show is one of my all time favorites. The chemistry the entire cast has with each other is amazing. Some of the absolute best one liners ever too!

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@TKsMantis This! I'm super optimistic about it!

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@Itsfoss He should be trying to paint it a different color as well while going through all that.

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@MuseumCommodore I have got to get an Ultimate

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@exQUIZitely Westwood was a huge part in my decision to jump to PC gaming. So many freaking great titles. That studio had HUGE talent!

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

"The Seinfeld of RPG's" freaking perfect.
@FalconTheHero

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@exQUIZitely @avephoenix1408 Loved Karateka! Played it on my C64... The music, especially during the scene transitions! But... Yeah screw that hawk man...

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@_waela Fun is a great reason. It leads to discovery of more things you become interested in!

[Croaker @MotorCroaker]

@BrandonPerna Congratulations man!
