Every single day I fed her on the streets of Thailand little Snickers would bring me a little gift.
It got her a home in America. You can probably guess what she is up to over there now!
“My childhood was stolen. I was taken as a captive to the Gaza Strip, where I was sold to a Jihadist, and forced to marry him and bear two children. I lived there for years in slavery.”
— Fawzia Amin Sido, Yazidi survivor of ISIS sexual slavery, freed from Gaza by the IDF
We never talk about how being a strong, wealthy, capitalist country gives us the ability and abundance of resources to come to the rescue of socialist countries as they're overwhelmed.
I'm so proud of this country, and our local firefighters...the best ambassadors imaginable.
Little Skye and Rod Stewart were found in the worst possible conditions. Both close to death.
She had been struggling big time with us humans until he came along.
Now suddenly she is playing and has a best friend
I'd like to see the same people who organized marches and railed against politicians in defense of their reproductive rights to organize marches and rail against socialist politicians who want to take far more rights than that away.
Haunting and heartbreaking.
The last photo taken of the six hostages that were brutally executed with a bullet to the head in Rafah including American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin
They were starved and tortured in tunnels and then all shot by Palestinian terrorists.
Hersh, Carmel, Alex, Ori, Almog, Eden.
May your memories all be blessings.
Back in November, I looked at the diagnosis of modern America from that hateful little troll Nick Fuentes and pointed out that even with our flaws, a young person in America today has more opportunities to improve his life than roughly 99.99 percent of human beings in the history of human existence.
Some readers absolutely hated that edition of the Morning Jolt, because they really love their narrative that they’ve been uniquely screwed and life has been particularly unfair to them. Or they hated my declaration that “no one ever said that achieving the American dream was going to be easy. No politician is coming to save you. The person who has the most influence over your quality of life is you.” Because it’s a lot more satisfying to blame other people than to look at our lives and contemplate how we’ve let ourselves down, and a lot easier to believe in some politician as a messiah figure — complete with their own temples.
I live in an extremely educated area, and I am deeply ashamed by how silent people are about antisemitism.
Professors, authors, doctors, educators — silent.
Have they never read a history book????
Do they not realize how evil their silence in the face of such hate is???
Anti-Israel.
Anti-America.
Anti-Western Civilization.
Why am I the only Democrat in the U.S. Senate that refuses to excuse this or defend any of those self-identified communists?
To my beautiful Jewish friends in America. We love you. You are not alone. We are just as freaked out as you are and see with clear eyes exactly what is happening.
I was curious once too.
I have never lived in Texas. But I worked remotely with Texans for years, and I spent so much time in the DFW area twenty years ago that it remains one of my favorite places on earth to visit.
So let me try to explain what I learned.
Start with this. In America, everyone is proud of their state. But Texas is different, and here is the tell. You never have to ask a Texan where they are from. They will tell you. Usually within the first two minutes.
Part of it is size. Texas is enormous. You can drive for a full day and never leave it. Part of it is the sheer variety. Real mountains in the west. Pine forests in the east. Beaches on the Gulf. Ranch land, oil country, desert, hill country, and some of the biggest cities in America. Almost every kind of terrain on the continent exists inside one state line.
But the real root is the history, and Texans know their history.
Texas was its own country. A fully independent republic with its own president, army, navy, and embassies. It fought Mexico for its independence and won it on the battlefield, then chose to join the United States as an equal. Six flags have flown over that land. Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederacy, and the United States. That was real history long before it was a theme park.
And here is the part outsiders miss most.
When the rest of the world pictures America, they are very often picturing Texas. The ranches. The boots. The oil. The swagger. The TV show Dallas ran for twenty years and exported that image to the entire planet. Texas became the shorthand for America itself.
But here is the thing I love most about Texans.
As much as they love Texas, they love America more.
It is, by almost any measure, the most patriotic state in the Union.
That is the answer. Texas pride is not arrogance. It is a country that remembers being a country, and chose this one anyway. 🦋
A lot of people tell me I am angry. Yeah, I am angry. And honestly, most people should be angry too.
What happened on October 7 was not just a massacre. It was a level of barbarity and sadistic violence that you rarely see in any other culture or ideology. It was not simple shootings. The attackers took joy and pride in every gruesome act. Then came the images of tens of thousands of Gazans cheering and dancing in celebration. That kind of open delight in slaughter is commonplace there.
We have seen the same brutality for months in Syria, and we see it right now in Sudan, Nigeria, Chad, and across much of Northern Africa. Now it is spreading. We are watching these same extremes surface in Europe, Australia, and America.
For all the hatred exploding against Jews worldwide, you will never see a Jew beheading someone in the streets of London or Belfast. You will not see one setting a Holocaust survivor on fire in Colorado or shooting up people at a religious festival on an Australian beach. Yet these horrors keep happening in the other direction.
The world watches the lies falling apart about fake genocides, nonexistent famines, and “journalists” who turn out to be Hamas fighters. Still, leaders make deals with the perpetrators, threaten the only country fighting this evil, and act like Israel is the real problem. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of innocent Christians are massacred, beheaded, and burned alive across Africa, and almost no one says a word. The loudest silence often comes from those fake Christians and podcast influencers who are quick to condemn Jews for things we didn’t even do a thousand years ago, or for crimes the attackers themselves filmed and celebrated.
Every government bears some guilt here. This toxicity grows in societies everywhere, yet the condemnation keeps landing on us. So yes, I am angry. I am angry because we know how this ends.
The world did nothing while a third of the Jews were slaughtered eighty years ago. Now the same silence and intentional ignorance seem ready to allow it again. The actual evil spreads openly, while those of us who refuse to lie down and die get scorn for wanting to live.
I am angry, and I have every fucking right to be.
The head of Lebanon’s largest Christian party begs Vance and Trump to change the course of the current discussions to not allow Iran to dictate events in Lebanon, remove them from discussions about Lebanon, and support the disarming of Hezbollah.
My husband Neil (marathon and endurance runner) just told me he's bought four T shirts. In years to come, a great question to ask self-proclaimed liberal men will be, 'which side were you on - women's rights, or men's demands?'
If people have to pay reparations for slavery, the British could claim three and a half centuries colonisation by the Romans, and 300 years of colonisation by the French
This would be profitable for us since we were slaves for much longer than our shameful Empire lasted
It is a tribute to the foresightedness of the Muslims that, due to their practice of castrating all slaves, no
candidates exist for reparations for their long periods of slavery
Muslim Brotherhood TV host explains under what circumstances Christian girls can be raped.
“Allah allows Muslim men to rape non-Muslim women to humiliate them.”
Mr. President,
The pager operation against Hezbollah was a masterpiece of modern warfare. Israel also executed a brilliant 12-day operation against Iran that left the regime in shock, its top generals assassinated, and the Ayatollahs held by the throat.
Yet every time Israel had momentum, whether in Gaza, Lebanon, or against Iran, you personally intervened and stopped them at the worst possible moment.
you were personally briefed by Mossad that defeating Iran would take at least a year of consistent pressure. Yet you pushed for quick results, changed the original plan, and turned what could have been a strategic victory into a strategic defeat.
Now, after signing a humiliating deal that buried the Iranian nuclear threat instead of eliminating it, you come out blaming Israel for taking too long and for how it fights.
The question of civilian casualties should be addressed to Hezbollah, not Israel. Hezbollah deliberately operates from within populated civilian areas, using civilians as human shields and endangering their own people.
This strategic failure is not due to Israeli incompetence. The main problem has been your repeated intervention and bad timing.
You don’t get to sabotage the campaign and then blame Israel for the results.
The change in talking points is astonishing. A few weeks ago it was that it doesn’t matter if the SoH opens and we have all the leverage.
Now Trump basically admits Tehran blackmailed him into giving everything they wanted because they controlled the strait. Which btw incentivizes them to keep increasing their demands using same leverage.
In the same press conference, Trump defended not having any enforcement mechanism in the deal and even allowing the leading sponsor of terror continue their ballistics missile program. Not to mention giving them full sanctions relief with little in return.
The Obama deal at least requires specific nuclear commitments for the financial relief. Trump didn’t even get that.
Trump spent months telling Americans that we won and now Iran will give up everything. Then he signed a deal where they gave up nothing substantively and says he didn’t have a choice.
Why did he set the expectations to be that they would give up their nuclear program, end terror funding, end ballistic missile program?
A lot of people defended the admin’s strategy for months only to have him throw the entire enterprise under the bus.
And btw Tehran is already violating the agreement today in attacking ships but it doesn’t matter because apparently they can do whatever they want because all that natters is keeping the strait open at any cost. Many of us gave the admin a lot of leeway because they deserved credit for making the call. But there is no spinning this when he’s openly saying it.
