@RandPaul@RandPaul -- Look at the chart again, this isn't an increase in people, its an increase in spending (cost). Are the numbers of people going up as well?
Just a total and complete lie.
NO LAWS HAVE CHANGED to require โnew low-income housing.โ
NO MANDATES to rebuild entire buildings as affordable exist.
The state announced a grant, which developers can CHOOSE to apply for.
THE GRANT DOESNโT CHANGE ANYTHING โ it simply helps disaster-impacted communities recover and meet *THEIR* pre-existing housing plans, which is especially important for working communities like Altadena.
Itโs absolutely shameful how the right wing misinformation machine continues to weaponize the recovery of a beautiful community like the Palisades.

Want to see how corrupt the GOP is?
Lisa Murkowski from Alaska didnโt like new cuts to federal programs. So Republicans just said โOkay, weโll exempt Alaska from the cuts.โ And so she voted for the cuts for everyone else.
Theyโll cut your benefits, just not their own.
