Whether it’s custom software or pre-built, lower barriers to production = more competition = lower margins. Too many SaaS companies trying to charge too much, often because of pressure of valuation. Lots of pent up demand from businesses large and small to reduce that.

Current trend bolt on AI and charge even more per seat when it’s mostly just wrapping foundation models I have API keys for. Just let me put in my keys (or one OpenRouter) and sensibly charge on top of usage or I’m looking elsewhere.

Plenty of opportunity in TAM expansion you describe and new use cases we haven’t even cooked up yet, but let’s not pretend a lot of incumbent SaaS isn’t about to get slapped in the face.

@Amplitude_HQ when I click on any event or property to set it you used to focus on the search input now you don't. I am loving the hundreds of extra clicks a day to focus the input or your keyboard shortcuts reacting to what I type thinking I am in said searchbox 😡

@spotify @eldsjal stop interrupting my app experience as a Premium sub with multiple in app pop ups I have literally dismissed every time. Pop ups are not a solution to discovery and are shite for users - at the very least exclude people who dismiss them from your audience.
