Your 'biggest fear' should not be the cars on the bridge alone.
That more than half of lagos gone.
This is true, his shirt was pulled and it was a clear penalty but the referee refused to check on VAR to cancel the goal and award Egypt a penalty.
I'm really happy that today, the entire world witnessed that level of corruption.
For the avoidance of doubt and save the whataboutismโs, the Salah incident was not a foul. Contact was initiated by Salah after the ball had been lost.
All goals are checked by VAR, there is literally a team of refs doing that. The ref not running to a screen means they didnโt it fit to send him there.
Methinks it is a better approach to fix the root cause, than use NYSC corpers to serve these rural areas. Funny that they say these graduates are not job-ready, but they're somehow ready for rural tutoring/teaching. I know exactly what they are
BREAKING: FG Approves Major Reforms for NYSC
The Federal Government has approved far-reaching reforms to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), aimed at improving the scheme and equipping corps members with more practical skills.
Some of the major changes include:
โ Orientation camp will be extended from 3 weeks to 6 weeks.
โ A new NYSC uniform will be introduced.
โ The traditional Passing-Out Parade (POP) will be replaced with a graduation ceremony.
โ A technology-driven call-up process will be introduced to make mobilization more efficient.
โ Corps members will be deployed based on security risk assessments to enhance their safety.
โ The six-week orientation will focus more on entrepreneurship, leadership, digital skills, and career development.
โ Primary assignments will be aligned with corps members' academic qualifications and professional skills.
โ Camp facilities and operations will be upgraded through a national grading and certification system.
Important: These reforms have been approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), but some of them will require amendments to the NYSC Act before they can be fully implemented.

@Femi_OfMainland If the goal is really about making the scheme more skills based and empowering graduates like they say.
I am sure we can fit all of that into the 4-6 years window (during the first degree) with stable academic calendar instead of having people wait 6-36+ months for mobilization.
@Femi_OfMainland Yet to see any talking point in the reforms that addresses this particular issue - growing backlog. I believe we have more fresh graduates or PCM (and growing) than what the scheme budgets for annually.
Reforms should start with making it voluntary or just scrap it altogether.
