骨盤の男女差について。
夜中に目が覚めたので、考えてみます。

まず人体シルエットの性別認識に大きく影響するのは「骨盤の大きさ」自体ではなく「胸郭と骨盤の相対サイズ」じゃないかと考えています。これはウエストや肩幅に強く影響する。

次に、腰から大腿のシルエットの性別認識に影響が大きいのは「①シルエットの硬さ」と「②膝の上の太さ」ではないかという仮説を考えます。
元ポストのような「腰〜大腿の太さのピーク」は、男女ともに股間の下にある場合が多くて、性別の表現ポイントとして描画スキルに落とし込むのは、実は難しいのではないかと思うんですよね。否定するわけではないのですが、アングルやポーズによって見え方がコロコロ変わるので汎用性を考えて今回は別の方向で考えてみます。

①腰〜大腿のシルエットの硬さの男女差
男性は、大腿四頭筋（外側広筋）と、それに押し上げられた腸脛靭帯で「筋肉＋靭帯」の硬いラインになりがち。
女性は、殿部から大腿側面に広がる「皮下脂肪」の影響が大きいのでシルエットは柔らかい曲線になる。皮下脂肪が多い男性も女性に近いシルエットにはなるが、脂肪沈着の分布が少し違う。
②膝の上の太さの男女差
男性は、大腿四頭筋（外側広筋・内側広筋）の筋繊維が急激に停止腱に収束するので、膝上で筋肉が太く主張する。
女性は、大腿の膝に近いエリアほど皮下脂肪が薄くなるので、筋量が少ない場合は膝に向かって徐々に細くなる。

ただこれはシルエットが「筋肉優位」か「皮下脂肪優位」かという話なので、前者は男性に多く、後者は女性に多いという二次的な判断だとは思う。しっかり鍛えた女性の方が肥満気味の男性よりも男性らしいシルエットになる場合もあるわけで。男女差じゃなくて体質の差じゃないかという気もします。

簡単に結論は出ないですが、悶々と仮説を考えるのは楽しいです。
