Join us this Thursday at 18:00hrs for a dynamic and solutions-driven conversation on X Spaces as we unpack Zimbabwe’s Climate Change Bill through a youth and community lens.
Convened under the Youth Collective Action for Social Transformation (YCA4SoTra) initiative, this dialogue creates a platform for young people, community actors, and stakeholders to critically engage with the Bill, understand its key provisions, and explore what it means for inclusive development, climate justice, and sustainable livelihoods.
We are honoured to host Eric Moyo, Founder and Director of the Community Climate Action Trust, who will bring expert insights and help simplify the policy landscape, making it accessible and actionable for all.
The discussion will place a strong focus on youth participation in climate governance, highlighting how young people can influence policy processes, contribute to green innovation, and drive community based climate solutions in line with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 and the National Youth Empowerment Strategy.
Be part of a growing movement shaping inclusive climate action and accountable governance.

As Africa we are in trouble...
To think of the state of my beloved continent when it comes to its incapacity to defend its citizens in the event of a large-scale global war, mostly taking place skyward through drones, missiles, and fighter jets..
Dear Lord Protect our Continent
@citezw We can still be globally competitive even if we learn STEM subjects in our indigenous languages rather than English. If countries like China, Russia, Japan, Germany etc have done it.. we can also do it
The window to stop irreversible climate tipping points is slamming shut. World leaders must act now, no more empty promises & delays. The upcoming COP30 in Brazil must be a turning point. We demand bold, urgent, & justice-centered climate action because our future depends on it:
Tanzania has shut down some of its hydroelectricity stations because of excess energy supply.
In the times where transitioning away from fossils-dependent power generation is urgently needed, expedition of energy sharing deals with Tanzania and neigbours will be good.
Being a child should be beautiful. Images of children suffering, killed, traumatized, wounded, hungry, & in pain that I have been seeing in recent months and currently in Rafah are so devastatingly painful 💔. It is the greatest human tragedy in history😢

"No matter what challenges come our way, I am of the conviction that as the resilient young people of Zimbabwe, we can build our great nation to being the giant that it is."
We are blessed

Water scarcity is one of the most prominent features of climate change impacts in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland South Province, my home area. This is indeed the number one issue to be tackled, followed by food insecurity. Am glad solutions are emerging in the area.

With the current El Nino induced droughts, one wonders if we are really serious about mitigating climate change... with an average of $3.5 trillion needed annually over the next 30 years to keep temperature rise to 1.5°C.
