@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 I understand your view that it seems wrong.
But to make your view a reality you would have to impose discriminatory policies that are illegal.
The only logical and reasonable solution is to allow people of any age to be eligible to play CBB
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 How is “I do think you cant have 4 years if 22 and played pro ball” not age restrictions?
You are using age as a basis for not allowing to play CBB. Age restrictions and discrimination, pure and simple.
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 I may agree with you, but no way that could ever happen.
If you have any age restrictions for CBB it would be discriminatory. Didn’t a 40 year old play CFB a year ago?
You can’t arbitrarily not allow people of a certain age not to play in college.
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 He just registered at BYU for the winter semester so that’s why he is only eligible now. It works the same way for any college program, it’s based on the school schedule, not the basketball schedule.
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 I’m actually with you on age limits if it could be applied to both the NBA and CBB. Can only play in CBB until age 22 and can’t be drafted in NBA until age 20. It would benefit both products.
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 It’s the same rules for any team in CBB. If a student registers for classes starting in the winter semester they can then be eligible to play for the college.
@LeifThulin@collinsworth55 Since we are now in the NIL reality, I’m ok with it even it doesn’t benefit BYU because we are all going playing be the same rules.
