EXCLUSIVE: ‘We need honesty’
There have been 3 Somali gang shootings in the past 4 days in Minnesota. Elected officials say there are no Somali gangs here, and yet, Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher says there have been a hundred shootings and 14 Somali gang-related deaths in the last year. He’s created a unit devoted to Somali gangs, and brought us inside.

Several of his deputies are Somali. Deputy Jama Shine tells me “I'm from the community. This case doesn't represent me. It doesn't represent our community. We need it to stop, and we need to hold them accountable.”

Sheriff Fletcher @RamseySheriff likens the situation to what’s happened in Europe: “we better work our butts off right now to fix this problem in the Somali community, or we are going to launch into a 200-year legacy that won't be unlike what some of the European countries are seeing."

Ok… if you only watch one clip I’ve shared today make it this one:

Watch as Regina George, er Aisha Chugtai, is disrespectful and snarky with staff not once but twice.

First she pushed Ms Harrington, neighborhood safety director, to state which staff she is cutting with possible staff IN THE ROOM. Ms Harrington tried to dodge the question three times but Chugtai would not relent.

Finally she snaps at the city attorney present “Mr. Attorney…” she says dismissively not even willing to use his name. He then says plainly “I’m not privy to that particular information” and she is unmistakably mean girls. Worth revisiting.

The DSA hates our city so much and no more so than the mayor. Frey is far from perfect but he and his entire team are treated like this DAILY. If she cannot hide her disdain from public cameras, how do you think she behaves behind closed doors?
