So today Trump accomplished nothing, did nothing of substance, tied up first responders and volunteers, drew attention to himself, made himself the story, exploited a tragedy, told lies about Gov Kemp & Biden, and divided Americans again over something that should unite us
Remember what Trump did to North Carolina a couple of years ago after they got hit by a different hurricane? Roy Cooper (D) was governor then. Trump withheld federal funding for about 2 weeks on purpose while people were flooded out of their homes around the coast & further inland.
Another day, another lie upon lie upon false accusations. Sunday, his empathy for Asheville was a tirade against the idea of climate change, another day for the campaign based on trust funds and ignorance.
BREAKING: In a stunning rebuke of Donald Trump, Republican Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, just made it clear that President Biden and Vice President Harris have been incredibly helpful as Georgia fights against Hurricane Helene
@GregAbbott_TX This has to be the stupidest waste of even the 10 seconds it took you to sign the Resolution. Do something useful and stop grandstanding to avoid a primary challenge from the right. You are worthless.
This Georgia elections official on finishing counting ballots: "Our hope would be today but could slip into tomorrow. Everybody's exhausted, it's Friday, there's a Georgia game tomorrow, it's a really big one. We have to focus on the important things sometimes."
The mood in the Trump campaign is “deflated.”
There's exhaustion and apprehension about a days-long wait for a concession that may never come.
Aides stop getting paid on Nov. 15. They are worried about what happens with legal battles that go nowhere, sources tell @albamonica.
Worth mentioning that if you stopped counting ballots *right now*, Biden would win with this map. So Trump is reliant on ballots counted after Election Day for his comeback chances.
I played center field for my HS baseball team @FordhamPrep. This was 1944. I wasn’t much of a hitter. More of a swinger. But I could run, throw and catch. Can you spot me among the boys?
