RIP Warras
I got to know Warras personally over the last 4 months. I was with him inside that building on the 21st October.
The problems aren't only with illegal immigrants but with PURE CRIMINALITY from both locals and foreigners.
He once told me, at the core of their problem in the CBD is the Helen Suzman Foundation, SERI and SAHRC. I will explain in a follow-up post one day.
He was so passionate about bringing law and order back to the CBD. Give the residents safety and dignity, and I share that vision.
-----
Was one of the kindest, bravest most dynamic people I have ever met. He had a drive that inspired me to the point of entering the political and activism space head on, and how I ended up meeting Penuel.
My sincere hope is that the senseless loss of his life and 3 boys left fatherless, will inspire our nation to say 'enough is enough'.
Nothing will bring him back...no matter how many tears I shed.
I HATE that this is true.
Now I (we) need to choose what we're going to do with the pain. Let his life not be in vain.
