This is what a hero looks like.
A young lifeguard rescues a 10-year old boy while being punished by powerful waves in California.
What an incredible display of courage and determination.

At just 26 years old, Kevin Ishimwe, from Gikondo in Kigali City, is part of a new generation of young Rwandans using the skills acquired abroad to contribute to their country’s development.
A graduate in International Business with a specialization in Modern Logistics from WSG University (Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki) in Poland, he currently works for Thales Alenia Space, a Franco-European company specializing in satellite and space technologies.
In an interview with IGIHE, Kevin Ishimwe spoke about the creation of Gerayo App, a mobile application he co-founded with Shema Aimé César, 24, from Nyarugenge, along with other Rwandan students living in Poland.

During my morning jog in Kibagabaga area in #Kigali today, I came across dozens of young people walking with purpose in the early hours. Curious, I stopped and asked where they were headed. They told me they were on their way to work at the Nyabisindu Estate construction site, just a few kilometres away.
As I watched them disappear down the road, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far Rwanda has come.
32 years ago, in 1994, many young people were manipulated by a genocidal regime & turned into instruments of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Today, Rwanda’s youth are builders, not destroyers. Instead of carrying weapons, they carry tools. Instead of taking lives, they are helping build homes, earning an honest living, and shaping the future of their country.
I recalled that the Nyabisindu Rehousing Project is a Government of #Rwanda initiative that will provide dignified housing for 1,600 families, transforming vulnerable informal settlements into a modern, decent community.
That scene before me was more than a group of young people walking to work. It was a powerful reminder of what visionary #leadership can achieve. Leadership shapes values, creates opportunities, restores dignity, and gives a generation a reason to believe in tomorrow.
As one author put it: “Everything rises and falls on leadership”
This morning, I didn’t just see young people walking to work. I saw a generation walking toward Rwanda’s future.
To summarise this thread: Europeans passively accept unfairness, while the American spirit refuses to let an injustice go uncorrected.😅
Watching Americans frame the LITERAL geopolitical blackmail of FIFA as a proud, patriotic stand for justice is incredible.
They are weaponising state power to cheat, & then writing poetic essays about their moral superiority.🫠
It's the exact same geopolitical narcissism that allows them to obliterate a country for natural resources, & then demand global sympathy via a 3-hour Oscar-winning film about the psychological toll it took on their patriotic invading army.
@Sai_Ishaya_@sandorgyuris@FabricGlezN Americans have zero self-awareness. They are fed a well balanced mix of ads-realityTV-FakeNews on Fox that keeps them domesticated never to fight back against corporations sucking up all their country’s resources.
We just want to enjoy football, they lost, let’s move on 😂
China has overtaken the DR Congo as Rwanda’s largest export destination, marking one of the most significant shifts in the country’s trade patterns in recent years. The development comes following the introduction of zero-tariff access for products from Rwanda and other least-developed countries, a move that has opened new opportunities for exporters seeking entry into one of the world’s largest consumer markets. Officials say the policy shift is already reshaping Rwanda’s export landscape, strengthening trade flows between Kigali and Beijing.
Thank you, Rwanda! What a journey. We celebrate a season that shattered records across every major metric, from attendance and viewership to engagement and impact. The future of basketball in Africa has never been brighter and we’re just getting started. #BAL6
Iconic weekend for Rwanda & sports. Sport is talent, joy, jobs, tourism, investment and global visibility. Rwanda is proud to be part of building that future for Rwandans and for Africa. Africans shine in global sport and should definitely share in its business.
Warm regards from the finals. #Twaje.
Let’s go RSSB tigers!

Whoever does PR for this man is excellent at their job. The crossover means people are talking about the Arsenal fit and not the religious prayer. This is active PR management to thwart anti-Muslim hate. I am very impressed.
