Aidan was subjected to family abolition workshops, discussions of “communist sex forests,” a literal crayon-coloring exercise during one panel, “transfeminist abolitionism,” and lectures about the “cis-sexist motherhood regime.”

@VailTribe @becka_thompson Except these unlicensed vendors all live in different neighborhoods & have been doing this for 6 yrs. They block the sidewalks & crosswalks & glare at you as you try to get past their gross deep fryers. Real friendly people. Oh & they dump used cooking oil down the storm drains
@silverstpaul @becka_thompson Precisely. And it's been happening for 6 years! Council member Jason Chavez has fought to keep the inspectors & police away from this illegal street market. Every once in a rare while an inspector gets in & issues citations & fines. Chavez throws tantrums when that happens

Chavez ignores neighbor complaints & keeps inspectors away. Police do nothing. Neighbors are fed up. Posting vids seems to be our last resort
@no_more_lies___ @becka_thompson They even have food "runners" out there. People pull up to the vendors in the street & order, then drive around the corner & wait, then the runner brings the food. It's a whole operation right smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood. This used to be a very quiet street.
@NoFilthyRats I hope this gets more & more traction. People need to know what happens when cities are at the mercy of DSA city council members like Chavez who fancies himself a king & cries "that's racist!" when regular folks calmly point out that this illegal street market shouldn't exist
@TownMaxim Absolutely correct. Many Ecuadorians claimed asylum from drug gangs, but the ones who moved here are mostly from the rural parts of Ecuador. The asylum claims are lies. During Biden years Mpls saw a 900% (!) increase in Ecuadorians. Insane & wildly irresponsible governance by DFL

@NoFilthyRats Absolutely. Our theory is that Jason Chavez somehow has a strangle hold on him & other Mpls inspectors & won't let them do their job in Ward 9. There are ~1800 cases per yr of unlicensed food vendors operating at a single intersection & the vendors NEVER get citations or fines

@MplsCarrie @PamAltendorf Absolutely. Ecuadorian unlicensed vendors along 32nd from Chicago over to 10th Ave act like they own the area. They & their customers DO NOT care that they make the area more dangerous by constantly creating public health & safety hazards. Plus they litter, urinate in public, etc
