@WalderSports When will you stop fixating on this? Carter meant more to you than he did a lot of other people. People who also like and understand basketball. Let it go. “Vince is in the HoF and had his number retired just like I said would happen!” isn’t the flex you’re pretending it is.
@WalderSports When you explain Vince to someone who has no idea, what do you say? Was he exciting for a while? Yes. Win? No. Establish the franchise as professional? Hell no. Make Toronto a destination for other players? No. He jumped high, missed a lot of shots and quit.
@WalderSports The idea that Carter invented basketball in Canada is tired. He was never particularly effective (efg% as a Raptor .481) and a reluctant passer. He jumped high but also quit on the team, refused to dunk in games until he was traded, and missed his most important shot as a Raptor.
@ari_shapiro@michaelgrange Has anybody actually seen evidence of said offer? I mean, I “offered” Ohtani the moon to play on my softball team and you can’t prove I didn’t.
@OrenWeisfeld We will have to agree to disagree on his organizational abilities, especially late where he is prone to hero ball and poor decisions. Competitive? Absolutely, but that in and of itself doesn’t justify closing every single game. There’s a reason he’s on team 7 in 7 years.
@WalderSports We can’t continue to try and have things both ways. Young and Poeltl deals have no relevance on this trade. Olynyk is a stretch big and good rebounder and Agjabi was the 14th pick two years ago. The cost was two guys who don’t play and the worse of three picks in a bad draft.
@vivekmjacob Well, Tatum plays hard every night, doesn’t have six or seven pretend boo boos every quarter, and never leaves the gym in a wheelchair and is then suddenly healthy enough to play the next game.
