@moicontrewrld@DrFrankTurek Paul was not demon-possessed. His affliction was his poor eyesight that never fully recovered after his Damascus road-blinding. His thorn in the flesh. A regular reminder. His lack of healing him was something that Satan would use to torment him.
@DrFrankTurek Essentially yes, but a better way to describe it that leads to less theological misunderstandings is to say “demonized” or “demon-influenced.” The demons don’t have possession of a person; rather, a person has affecting them a demon. Jesus said deliverance is the children’s bread
Praise God, always!
Whatever you’re going through, God is near, with you and in you.
He will:
• deliver you from it
• empower you to overcome it
• or sustain you to endure it.
All will bring Him glory and build your eternal testimony.
What are you being called through?
106 hours trapped beneath the rubble... and he walked out alive.
After Venezuela's devastating earthquakes, 21-year-old Aaron Levi Cantillo Vargas spent more than four days buried under a collapsed building before rescuers finally reached him.
When asked about his survival, he didn't call it luck.
He said:
"I'm alive today because of my God. He is the One who got me out of there and sent His angels. Those angels were the people who never gave up searching for me."
God is still a refuge in the middle of impossible situations. Sometimes His miracles come in supernatural ways. Sometimes they come through ordinary people who refuse to quit.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." // Psalm 46:1
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13
Does NOT mean: I can do whatever I want because Jesus is with me.
DOES mean: I can do whatever God calls me to because He will equip and empower you to complete it.
So what is God calling you to?
We can help!
@TexasHospitaler@anchoredso37497 What do you think of our house church project? It’s not a denomination per say but we’re trying to be a more holistic solution that a solo house. Transformation Church International!! I’ve designed it specifically to align the closest with Scripture!! https://t.co/hrdsCnYzF7
The closest traditional denomination I’ve found is Missionary Church. But if you’re open to the idea of joining or starting a house church check out Transformation Church International!! I’ve designed it specifically to align the closest with Scripture!! https://t.co/hrdsCnYzF7

@SuitSheep The only problem with this is that there would still be a leader of many able to be questioned. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t bad. I’ve led many of these Q&As where I interacted with the audience. But the best church isn’t a one speaker over many anyways. That’s not church.
@SuitSheep@Jakethecrazy19 We’re not going to change them. There are many reasons they are going to likely, unfortunately, continue in that direction. But we can still change the landscape of how people live out their faith. And that’s with a reimagined version of church. https://t.co/TafFC7rCF2
@SuitSheep It sounds like you are looking for exactly what I’m a part of at Transformation Church here. Let me know what you think! https://t.co/TafFC7rCF2
Praise God, our great Creator!
And each new believer & the church grows in a similar way!
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.. when it grows it.. becomes a tree, so.. the birds come and perch in its branches.” Matt 13:31-32
Grow it with us!

@FriedenSue@MikeWingerii@LauraLynnTT No. Constantine lived in the 4th century AD; KJV was first published in 1611.
No, we are not the living word. Only God’s Word is alive. But yes, we are to be led by the Holy Spirit who guides believers.
Translations are only that. The original substance belongs to the Author.
Amen. Great advice. I wonder what @MikeWingerii would think of my FAKE FAITH course just released this week. Entire chapter dedicated to helping you learn how to do Bible interpretation!

One of the hard things about learning to understand the Bible well is to unlearn a number of bad habits you unknowingly obtained in life.
1. Reading verses out of context. People don’t typically do this on purpose. It’s just a common bad habit.
2. Looking for a quick moment of inspiration more than a proper understanding. This kills your ability to even tolerate Scripture when it isn’t giving you what you want.
3. Trying to apply the Bible before you’ve actually understood it. “What does it mean to you?” is a terrible question.
4. Assuming you know what you don’t. These casual assumptions kill investigation. Why investigate what you already know?
@spauldingtbear@EssBee951@JoshuaBarzon That’s like saying the focus of a college is “education.” Technically true but nowhere near specific enough to be helpful or provide direction with operations.
@EssBee951@JoshuaBarzon Any church that thinks it exists for a purpose other than doing all three of those things simultaneously is seriously falling short of its actual purpose and God-ordained priorities.
@JoshuaBarzon Not much nuance to that question. They can, and it’s good if they do. There are good ways to preach without going through every single verse book by book. But they should err towards enough of it that contextual biblical knowledge is the norm rather than the exception.
