“Could a president of the U.S. ever be an Everton fan? No chance.” 😂
CanMNT coach Jesse Marsch has nothing but praise for Canada prime minister Mark Carney.
Marsch, who played and worked for the USMNT, compared Carney to the U.S. presidents he’s met. 🗣️
“My impression is that first of all, he is a really smart guy, but a really normal guy,” Marsch says of Carney.
“Sometimes you meet a U.S. president, and you’re overwhelmed, maybe by their presence, the position itself.
“I’ve met [Bill] Clinton, George Bush Sr, [Barack] Obama, [Donald] Trump, [Joe] Biden. Oh, and [Jimmy] Carter. Six in person.
“Carney, compared to all of them, the closest would be Obama. A real air of intelligence, but a real air of being a regular guy. I think that that’s perfect for this country and this moment.
“He has shown great support for us. I made a joke with him that ‘I heard you’re an Everton fan?’ and he goes, ‘Yeah’.
“And I go, ‘I’m sorry about that’. He replies: ‘Why does everybody say that? Everybody has to pick their team and stick by them.’
“I said, ‘I appreciate that you don’t switch from Everton to Arsenal or Liverpool, like everybody else’.
“There’s something so genuine [about] that. Could a president of the U.S. ever be an Everton fan? No chance.”

You pay taxes to cover welfare for people who just choose not to work. That’s why I launched a welfare-to-work requirement.
If you’re young, healthy, and get government assistance, you should work, go to school, or volunteer.
Look guys, I am no fan of the Js. But if you’re going to back me into a corner and force me to pick between Jews and Muslims, I’m going to pick the Jews every time and it’s not even close. This nonsense needs to stop.
