❌ OVERRATED historical cities you should skip:
• Paris 🇫🇷 (smells like urine, dirty streets & aggressive scam artists)
• Rome 🇮🇹 (graffiti-covered walls, 4-hour lines & overpriced pasta traps)
• Athens 🇬🇷 (a chaotic concrete jungle built around just one famous hill)
• Cairo 🇪🇬 (extreme pollution, aggressive street hawkers & endless noise)
• Venice 🇮🇹 (smells like stagnant sewage & feels like a fake theme park)
✅ Underrated historical gems actually worth your time ↓
I taught JEE physics for years. That paper breaks strong kids in three hours.
This exam is five hours of theory and five hours of lab work, and these five did close to perfect scores on it.
Let me tell you what actually happened.
The International Physics Olympiad is the world championship of school physics. It was the 56th edition. Held in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 5 to 12.
381 students. More than 85 countries. Every one of them the best physics student their country could find.
India sent five kids.
All five came back with gold.
Their names are Kanishk Jain from Pune. Riddhesh Anant Bendale from Indore. Rishit Garg from Dwarka in Delhi. Shresth Suraiya from Mumbai. Svarit Joshi from Ahmedabad.
We know a hundred cricketers by their nickname and not one of these boys. :)
That clean sweep put India at joint World Number One. Tied with China, Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Those are countries that pour serious money and national pride into science education. We are standing level with them.
Now here is what the exam actually was.
Two papers. Each five hours long.
The theory paper had three problems. One on the thermodynamics of paramagnetic cooling. One on the photoionisation of ozone. One on the dynamics of electron positron pairs.
The experimental paper was another five hours in a lab, working through heat transfer and thermodynamic processes in fluids.
That means you get given equipment you have never seen, and you have to design your own experiment, take your own readings, handle the errors, and reach a real answer.
Not multiple choice. No shortcuts. No pattern recognition. You either understand physics or you sit there for five hours.
HBCSE says the Indian students were near perfect on theory and excellent on the practical too.
Now, this was India's 27th appearance at the IPhO.
Across all those years, about 44 percent of Indian students have won gold, 41 percent silver, 10 percent bronze.
In the last ten years, every single Indian student has come home with a medal. 62 percent gold, 38 percent silver.
Not one kid has gone and come back empty handed in a decade.
Five golds in one year has happened only twice. This year, and in 2018.
So who built this.
The programme is run by HBCSE, the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. It sits under TIFR, which sits under the Department of Atomic Energy.
They run the whole funnel. A national exam, then a national olympiad, then a brutal selection and training camp, and out of everyone in the country, five kids get on a plane.
The team was led by Professor Anwesh Mazumdar of HBCSE-TIFR and Dr Leena Joshi from St Xavier's College, Mumbai.
The scientific observers were Professor Ananda Dasgupta from IISER Kolkata and Nisha Kelkar from Gogate-Joglekar College in Ratnagiri.
Yes. Ratnagiri. A college in a small coastal town in Maharashtra.
This is public education doing something the private coaching industry could never do on its own.
The coaching industry is very good at one thing. Teaching you to solve a known problem fast.
That is what JEE and NEET reward, and I say that with love because I was part of that world.
But an olympiad paper does not have a known type. There is no shortcut chapter. There is no formula sheet that saves you. You have to sit with a problem you have never seen and think.
That is a completely different muscle. And a government funded centre has been quietly building it in Indian teenagers for 27 years.
So yes, be proud. Loudly.
HBCSE also shared that around 64 percent of India's olympiad medallists go on to do a PhD.
But only about 32 percent of medallists end up settling in India.
I do not say that to spoil the moment. These kids owe the country nothing. They earned every option they have.
But it should tell us something. We are excellent at finding this talent. We are excellent at training it. We are still not great at giving it somewhere worth staying.
Congratulations Kanishk, Riddhesh, Rishit, Shresth and Svarit. This is one of the best things an Indian did this year and most of the country will never hear about it.
After Binge watching Hari's filmography, I found patterns in his songs, Characters, Scenes, Comedy Tracks!

Pak Journalist: Don't you think Pakistan's problems come from its borders with India, Afghanistan etc ?
Ex-Singapore Ambassador: Okay. First of all, That's an excuse. The fact is, Pakistan, from the very beginning of Pakistan, has been mismanaged terribly. And I don't see any solution. The military is both part of the problem and what holds the country together. Your civilian politicians are a waste of time. All of them. Regardless of party. Right? I'll tell you a story. Right? 1991, I was still in the service, some Pakistanis hijacked a Singapore airliner

Хочется сказать про отмененный гол Германии.
1. Это не фол. Вратарь, при развороте, втыкается в игрока Германии. Тот его не держит и не толкает. Контакта явно недостаточно

Current NSA to the PM of India, Ajit Kumar Doval disclosed a botched 2006 CIA op, he stated, "We set up a joint cyber forum with US. But we had to send a US diplomat back coz she tried to get our people to do things against India"
Same pattern-same organization-same habit. 🇺🇸😑
A student asked: "If sore throats are caused by a virus or bacteria, how come sleeping under the fan or drinking cold water gives it?"
I am surprised most people are not aware of the answer to this.
In a shocking 56-minute interview with Sivasankari Talks, Singer Swagatha S. Krishnan accuses a popular Kollywood Music Director of serial sexual abuse, CCTV blackmail, and total financial exploitation. 😲
Seven years ago, I left Chennai and moved to Rishikesh to run my fabric unit, Taarabaai. Nobody knew why I really left—except my family and closest friends. Today, I am speaking out.
I am a victim of sexual and financial abuse. The abuser is a popular Kollywood music director. It happened at his music studio. He is a serial abuser and a highly manipulative person. I was in a vulnerable state after a 9-year relationship broke up. He took control, introduced me to his family, and gave me hope when I didn't know how to process my pain.
I was in a good position financially, doing chorus compositions and mixing. He stopped my payments. I didn't even get 10% of what I earned. He kept saying he was in debt and brainwashed me into giving him huge sums of money, promising to repay with interest. I now understand that he, his wife, and his family did this together.
Seven years ago, something chilling happened. My body shakes now just talking about it. In his soundproof music studio, he violated my body by force. He recorded everything on CCTV and blackmailed me, saying he would show the footage to his friends.
His studio has lots of secret cameras. He records many girls including kids, and watches like a voyeur. He is the "Epstein of Madras." He even tried to justify his actions using God and prayers. It is sick. 🤢
When I tried to confront him, he shamed me and assassinated my character. He even manipulated his own wife. I was a small girl and he was a powerful man. I sought advice from high-profile officers and advocates, but I was too scared to file an FIR. I felt suffocated in Chennai, so I came to Rishikesh to heal where I became an entrepreneur and teaching handloom to women who are also the victims of sexual abuse.
Recently, a girl messaged me on Instagram. She revealed the exact same pattern of abuse happened to her with him. I spoke to her for an hour to save her. I suspect his wife pretends to be innocent while knowing everything.
Music directors like GVP, Ghibran, Imman, and Anirudh are true professionals. This man is just cheap trash. After I quit working with him, he came to my home and fell at my feet, begging for an apology because he was scared I would reveal the truth.
My sister Maya (Bigg Boss fame) is the one who recovered me. I don't want to face him or speak to him ever. I will only speak legally. The industry must stop glorifying and awarding this man. Now I am a strong girl, and one day, I will name him. No other girl should ever fall into this trap.
In 2026, Congress helped defeat the 131st Amendment — blocking BJP's attempt to redraw India's electoral map.
The party that killed the bill is the same party that drew the last map to engineer a victory.
Here's how it won 206 Lok Sabha seats on it. 🧵

Imagine the number of Pakistanis who have landed at an airport globally in last 24 hours for pure orchestrated propaganda from Pakistan. No credibility. No honesty. Most of Pakistani population haven’t seen an airport abroad in their life and don’t even have a passport.
