tl;Dr if you want to truly appreciate what it takes to build and operate a planet scale architecture like Google, try building even the smallest of physical emulations and, well ... it's a lot.
Three weeks after Pearl Harbor, no one was calling for a ceasefire.
Three weeks after 9/11, no one was calling for a ceasefire.
Three weeks after the worst mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust, Hamas continues to hold 220 hostages and fire rockets into Israel.
No ceasefire.
Two years later, everything I said in this interview is still true.
Hamas has not achieved anything on behalf of the Palestinian people — it simply holds Palestinians hostage while promoting terror.

My commitment is that I will be back to my normal, sarky, dry humoured good self at some point in the future. Although I cannot make forward looking statements, of course. So, until then ... https://t.co/GkzFj67GiT
This is with complete knowledge and understanding of just how privileged I am as a Googler specifically and working in tech / FAANG more generally. I get it. There are so many others who have it much _much_ worse than we do / will. Just feels like something died this week. /end
And, as I was in the midst of doing something I love to try and recentre my mind ... yeah, little bit of coding! ... the Tidal algo didn't disappoint and this song came on unexpectedly and you know what? Lyrics are pretty amazing, and really hit what I'm feeling at the mo.
Still working to scratch the itch I had earlier this week with some code ... and now spinning up some supporting infra (oy, why is _always_ DNS?!) but with Shabbat just hours away, there's only one playlist for it methinks. https://t.co/IP0dHgLied
@NiranEC All kidding aside ... squirrel! ... this book specifically and @DrGaborMate more generally has been nothing short of life changing for me and my family re ADD/ADHD/neurodiversity. https://t.co/ad4vZUQQLJ
Imma also go out on a limb and say that, whilst mucking about with @cloudron_io for just ~24h, they are missing a huuuuuuge trick not having support for ARM64. Their stack is crazy easy to use (yeah, okay ... stack == script library, but still) and ARM ecosystem is growing.
Had an idea and an itch I had to scratch with some code, and now ... we're down the rabbit hole. Looks like today will mostly be all things Chemical Brothers. https://t.co/0wzp6cyqbj
Also, given Golang + Python + TF ... and mebbe a little TS ... I didn't really appreciate why @KevinHoffman loved / loves Rust so much but, after having a peek at Cosmic from @system76 and related UI bits and bobs ... I get it now.
