That will allow Git to search deeper for changed/removed/renamed files and can save you in case of big bad rebases of old code 🧙‍♂️

Just finished the hardest rebase for me so far. And I've got a tip for you based on that.

If you have some old code and want to rebase it but in meantime you moved files a lot it may happen that Git will struggle to link changed files together.

As an effect that files will be displayed as deleted on target branch and you won't be able to diff and apply changes.

Little neat trick is to bump up "merge.renamelimit" option in config & run rebase with flag: --strategy-option="rename-threshold=10"
