@karakhanyanS Yup that’s right. If you don’t have a legal entity or anything to do with, ARDS can still be invoked with a significantly smaller chance of success on their end.
@robj3d3 It's funny seeing this, a company can take over the domain via ARDS if they already have a brand around it (while you do not have a legal entity related to it), as well as if it was registered in bad faith (aka snipe and hold until the company wants it).

It's significantly harder to make a standalone game, not to mention marketing, servers etc; that's why Roblox eats a large chunk. Roblox has 380m MAU and Steam has 135m MAU, they give you huge reach and a different audience; so like it or not.

Steam takes $100 per every game which you get back after you ern $1k, then they take their 30%; Sure Roblox will now charge $5, effectively $60/yr, most games don't even have a lifespan of a year, not even close. If it bothers you switch platforms.
@Neatz0 Game ideas are not protectable, as well as the gameplay mechanics are not. You can recreate a game 1:1 with your own assets, code etc. and there’s no legal grounds anymore. If any assets of theirs were used then they can file a claim.
@Darillu_@velstorm They don't necessarily punish it, but they most definitely reward the most engaging experiences; sure sucks that slop is so popular and I'd like to see ssomething new, but the reality is that kids enjoy this form of games and that's just how it is. Simple to play and understand.
@WIcentrist@RobertMSterling Well I atleast hope mine will last 15 years, but it should with proper care and cleaning. Some of the guys in the neighbourhood have their liners for 10+ years already, my uncle is nearing 20. It sure doesn’t look new but it isn’t damaged in any way just slightly faded color.
@WIcentrist@RobertMSterling I've got a 20x10 in ground pool, costs including electronics were sub 15k; it's only filled during the summer season then get's emptied (roughly 200$ for water), 30$ per month on electricity and another 30$ on chemicals. In 15 years the pool liner replacement will be around 4k.
@mytw0centst00@BlackLabelAdvsr@RobertMSterling Have a 7.5k gal pool in my backyard, maintenance is around 30$ per month for chemicals, 30$ for electricity and the fill-up cost is around 200$ (get's emptied every season), roughly 500$ per season in total. Initial construction costs with electronics sub 15k.
@BlackLabelAdvsr@RobertMSterling Personally have a 20x10 feet pool in the ground due to backyard constraints, around 200$ to get it filled, then around 30$ monthly for electricity and another 30$ for chemicals. Total construction cost together with all electronics was sub 15k.
@CSGOEmpireV2 0% house edge is entirely possible on house games, if there's no edge on bets under X amount of money, you're essentially guaranteed to make money as gamblers will always play degen and lose money.
