@KristinRaworth Conservative ideology- I didn’t have it, or I don’t need it- therefore nobody should get it. Or I get this but that doesn’t mean you should have it too. It’s Always one or the other or both.
@AndrewScheer Conservatives don’t understand economics. They think you stimulate the economy by giving rich people more money. What do people with a lot of money do with more money? They horde it. Trickle down is a LIE
@MeetJess@youseepeeYYC It’s working out great for the corporations. People were forced back to work and they’re making profits again. That’s really all that matters unfortunately.
@ghackethorn @annerob5@BCross052422 Ask yourself a question, why is this not happening in other affluent countries? Could it be that they have sensible gun control? I don’t see many schools in Europe with only one door in or out.
@kim_siever It's only large companies with lots of employees where eliminating their portion of the CPP and EI is really beneficial #PierrePoilievreIsLyingToYou
@picassorotten@journo_dale So union dues are a tax? Paying into an rrsp program is a tax? Extended medical is a tax? These are deducted from paycheques
.
@allnewsisbad@big_catsf@asifintoronto @WaytowichNeil Do you drive on roads? Do you drink water? Do you have a military? Do you like your food inspected? Just because you don’t get money from the government doesn’t mean that you’re not benifitting from paying your taxes. If everyone thought like you we’d have no infrastructure.
@Flame43194920@EliseJoshi Or maybe provide all your citizens with free education instead of making a huge billion dollar business of it. The income form college football alone could pay for everyone’s tuition.
@DanAlbas You don’t get it if you quit. You don’t get it if you get fired for cause. You can tell he’s never used it before. You only get it if you’re laid off or on parental leave. You can always appeal though.
@redsnoopy69 I agree. We the employee shouldn’t have to pay. Put it all on the corporations and businesses. Sounds like a great idea. We get to keep the pensions and more money in our pockets. But somehow I don’t think this is what conservatives are proposing.
@redsnoopy69@kim_siever Notice how they’re also paid into by the employer…. Less CPP and EI means less to@pay out for business the real people that conservatives look out for.
@CmomJonesy@patgagnon_75 It’s not a tax because it’s paid by workers and their employees it’s a pension just like any other pension. The rates are going up to keep the program going. If it goes away many will not have any income after they stop working.
