Yet another engineer at yet another fintech. SDE @slicebank | ex-GSoC @CasbinHQ.
Worked on BTC, CBS, and traditional fintech. I write code, often in English
My friend uninstalled @ZohoOneAuth and got locked out of @ZohoPayroll.
The recovery flow was basically:
“Use OneAuth to access Zoho.”
“Log into Zoho to access OneAuth.”
By the end of it, all 5 backup codes were gone 😭
How can they mess up the most straight forward edge case?
The funny thing is installation itself succeeded but it kept throwing errors since their installation script expects a boolean but keeps getting an object
Tried installing openclaw on windows and turns out the one-liner install command on the official website is broken. Love how debugging now starts before installation itself.
🇪🇺| Europe will require all mobile phones to be sold with user-replaceable and longer-lasting batteries starting 2027.
The regulation demands the availability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescence.
As per the USB-C ruling, Europe is a giant that can change markets to put European consumers’ needs first.
spent the weekend building a local coding + web search harness just for fun.
Tried gemma4:e4b and qwen3:8b.
Despite all the recent hype, I found qwen to be generally better over gemma. Even though neither provided amazing responses, qwen was still considerably better.
Funny to see how people completely miss the point of privacy display. It's when the person sitting beside you can't see but the person right in front of the screen can. In this case, either everyone can see or no-one can. How hard is it to understand this?
Randomly opened my StackOverflow profile and found my first question. It was really embarrassing to ask: Why is "if (num1 == (1 || 6 || 12 || 7))" failing?
Spent 3 hours debugging that beauty until people on Stack Overflow explained || needs booleans.
Tried deploying a website using GitHub actions on @Hostinger via FTP and it's not allowing to upload even mid size images. Only 131 bytes are getting uploaded. Anyone else faced such issue?
I love using online wheel spins for yes/no questions. Not for the answer
but because when its slowing down, I suddenly realize which side I’ve been rooting for all along
@PaulTheLi You still need to direct them. Letting them go astray doesn't work.
I was reallyhopeful about GPT's demo working with frontends, but it doesn't translate into practice for even slightly larger projects.
Spent entire day today vibe coding a personal website and both GPT5 and Claude struggle with even slightly complex animations.
But if you know enough to ask them to debug, look something on your own and give specific directions, they are extremely helpful.
But I've to say Claude is still slightly better than GPT
