@WOOLWORTHS_SA has become so arrogant! Their arrogance and ticking off loyal customers will be their downfall!!!Their "quality" of products is no longer the same at all... @WholeFoods can you take on @WOOLWORTHS_SA already with your quality food!!! @media24ltd
I have no sympathy for @WOOLWORTHS_SA. They have become corporate bullies of the very worst kind.
Hot on the heels of the Beyer Chocolates saga we now have claims made by Grey’s Marine. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the pattern that has emerged over the years, and I think it’s time we seriously consider where accountability should lie.
Grey’s Marine, a business with a longstanding relationship with Woolworths, has now publicly shared their experience. After more than three decades and reportedly building a business worth over R200 million that employed around 200 people, the family claims they were left devastated by decisions and pressures stemming from their Woolworths partnership.
According to their account, they became almost entirely dependent on Woolworths through strict exclusivity agreements. They allege declining sales volumes, pressure to invest in costly machinery, and repeated assurances that more business would follow.
One striking example is their purchase of a R5 million skinwrap machine, which they say was made on the promise of sufficient business to justify the investment.
Unfortunately, this decision led to them losing their home. Chan Pillay is specifically named in their allegations, with claims that they were told, “Chan Pillay will see you get nothing” if they didn’t agree to Woolworths’ terms. They further allege intimidation, referencing another supplier, Kees Beyers, as a warning of what could happen if they didn’t comply.
While it’s important to remember that these are just allegations and there are always two sides to every story, this is not the first time such concerns have been raised. Frankie’s, Ubuntu Baba, Beyers, and now Grey’s Marine have all shared stories that point to recurring issues with Woolworths potentially being the culprit.
Large corporates and their executives seem to operate with little consequence, even as names like Chan Pillay repeatedly appear in these allegations. The reality is, it’s only “just business” until it affects someone close to you, until families lose their livelihoods and another 200 people are left unemployed in a country already struggling with high unemployment.
What we tolerate is what we incentivise. If we continue to defend, minimise, or normalise this behaviour, we shouldn’t be surprised when it persists.

The Cape fishing industry used to be some of the best in the world.
https://t.co/KutcYLcw2X
It provided a prosperous economy for the Cape's many fishing villages, often dominated by Cape coloured communities.
These same communities now suffer from gangsterism and drug dealing as a direct economic result of this loss of historical and traditional commerce.
Today, our fishing industry has been decimated by the National Government's BEE agenda, absolute incompetence on behalf of Law Enforcement to protect our oceans, and as a result dwindling supplies of ocean harvests and life.
Many hoped the DA would be better than the ANC when they took over Fisheries in the Government of National Unity.
But no.
The DA are just as bad. (article attached)
DA = ANC-lite
If we want to turn the Cape fishing industry around, Cape independence is the only answer.

As a manufacturer, if you are dependent on a major retailer for the bulk of your revenue, you fall prey to "the power of the buyer". @WOOLWORTHS_SA has recenly caused the shutdown of two long-term manufacturers because they suddenly terminated contracts. Now a bomb has exploded in one of their Pretoria stores. Why would that happen? On top of this, their price increases are between 8% and 10% while inflation is 4% in April. Also, 4x 5 litre water costs R115.80 in store but is 9.3% cheaper online. I question the ethics of Woolworths. Moreover, their bananas and avocados go off in a jiffy, even in the fridge. Lastly, they preserve their meat with sulphur dioxide, a known carcinogenic for people who are allergic to penicillin, to preserve the colour. And they are expensive Me, i have had it with this "smokkel met jou brein" retaiiler.
@JoeSoapSA@WOOLWORTHS_SA People don't know this but @WOOLWORTHS_SA is heavily subsidized by the corrupt parasites of government. Yes all parties not just the anc have tax funded food cards for them and their entire families. Yes each person has their own card. Meanwhile the taxpayer struggle. @afriforum
@WholeFoods@AmazonZARetail can you please open whole foods in South Africa. @WOOLWORTHS_SA needs a competitor, we as customers need an alternative. @CheckersSA quality is nowhere close to woolies, so whole foods needs to come!!!!
🚨 ONE TICK BITE… AND STEAK BECOMES POISON. WHAT’S LEFT? BILL GATES ‘LAB GROWN’ MEAT 🚨
It’s called the Lone Star Tick, and its bite can make you ALLERGIC to meat for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!
In 2010, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gave grants to Oxitec, a biotech company that does research on genetically modifying ticks.
All the sudden, this tick population EXPLODED from a few DOZEN known cases in 2009—>to HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS today.
Motive?
Lab Grown Meat and Climate Change.
This is not a joke.
This is happening to Americans right now.
One bite.
That’s all it takes.
➡️ You eat a burger…
➡️ Hours later your body goes into attack mode
➡️ Hives. Vomiting. Severe pain. Even anaphylaxis
Why?
Because the tick can trigger alpha-gal syndrome; an allergy that makes your body reject red meat.
Beef. Pork. Lamb.
Foods you’ve eaten your entire life..suddenly become something your body treats like a threat.
⚠️ And here’s what makes it worse:
– The reaction is delayed, so people don’t even connect it at first
– Doctors often miss it or misdiagnose it
– Some people deal with it for YEARS
Meanwhile…
These ticks aren’t rare anymore.
They’re expanding. Spreading. Showing up in backyards, parks, hiking trails; places people feel safe.
This isn’t the creation of fear.
This is reality catching up to people who’ve never even heard of it.
Check yourself after being outside.
Take tick bites seriously.
Don’t ignore strange reactions to food.
Because the last thing you expect…is for a tiny bite to change what you can eat for the rest of your life.
@jaytheghost25 @sketchplayz3@talkcentss Only in your imagination am I white…Geez…what’s wrong with you?!The only colour that matters is the colour of your money!
🚨🇺🇸 Meanwhile in America
“Look at them crawling out of there - millions of Ticks”
The story is so insane - Farmers continue to report finding Boxes full of Ticks on their farmland, clearly left their on purpose.
Now the US has already seen a sharp increase in the number of Tick related diseases.
@talkcentss feels more like R1000 of today is like what a R100 use to be able to purchase a few years ago....based on real on the ground expenses, not hocus-pocus government inflation...
