1. Are symptoms consistent w allergy?
2. Do symptoms occur w exposure & improve w/o exposure?
3. Is suspected cause a likely allergen?
4. Rule out other causes
How NOT to diagnose allergies:
Test for a bunch of stuff & see what comes back
