I shot a parade last weekend. I’ve never been to one before, much less shot one. And I now have two rules I must follow for subsequent ones. 1 - Don’t shoot the parade. 2 - Stop down, for god’s sake
I’m shooting B/W to improve how I perceive light, but because I’m capturing in raw/jpg, I can see what could also be in the full spectrum when I go to review later, and it’s very…um…distracting? At least in the near term. Perhaps I should commit fully and just shoot JPG.

Street photography is a tricky thing to do in Lagos, so I approached him to ask if I could shadow him for a day.

I’m in the middle of translating some Yoruba exchanges from a Lagos street photography vignette that’s been sitting on my hard drive for ~2 yrs, and the dialogue gets funnier (at least to me) as things escalate. Of course there’s nuance that just the text cannot convey
