Okay all you folks out here listening to the latest sort of plan by @GOP - basically, put money on gov't issued debt cards for health care...the past is calling and so too is reality. It's exhausting. Listen to this episode of @jrovner What the Health for the smarts.
on this week's #WTHealth podcast: @pw_cunningham, @JoanneKenen, and @shefalil on what GOP really wants to do on health care, plus @Avik on whether there's any hope for bipartisanship on such a divisive issue...

@factpostnews Tell the people what books they cannot read, the food they cannot eat, the healthcare they cannot have, and now, what they cannot wear when they travel and to boot the mood, they're supposed to be in. Some small government right there. What a tool.
The "Let the people decide how much to pay for their care" has entered the building and I'm here to tell you, it's a ruse. It's a "watch this hand not the other move." The tactics of insurers are insufferableโ๏ธ. Fix that congress and while you're at it, extend the credits.
@jrovner Julie, I wonder if you anticipated this new 'bypass insurance' CTA. It's so illogical. I believe it's meant to get folks behind a plan that the U.S. as it stands today, simply can't make work, Concierge care, direct payment to providers is an option for wealthy folks.
The trillion dollars in health care cuts passed by Republicans this year are backloaded and mostly won't take effect before the midterms. Letting enhanced ACA tax credits expire would take effect January 1, leading to big out-of-pocket premium increases and more people uninsured.
@larry_levitt We know that insurance companies have hospitals, patients and providers right where they want them, and while converting tax credits to a "debit card" of sorts sounds appealing, how this is unfolding is health care transformation as political theatre vs. thoughtful policy making.

There is so much vitriol here about food insecurity and nutrition assistance, shaming and blaming all the wrong people. Facts matter, I know on X they don't, but they still do matter in the real world where people face hunger every day. https://t.co/w3Ylb97v3b
November 2025, there's a lot of shift happening. I wrote this short piece about greed, need and food security in America. https://t.co/shOHashCjJ via @LinkedIn
Serious question. Why are any of us paying Federal Taxes? This Administration is collecting money to destroy the infrastructure that Americans have invested in for decades. They want to use your tax dollars to pay for opulence, arrogance, and serving the whim of billionaires.
NEW! Today, we focus on COMMUNITY and the power of finding common ground to address local needs. @MRBImpact welcomes Meredith Dean, Community Works Director @RurUrbBridge, to talk about how to build relationships and trust across political differences.
