@MakeItWithCal I worked at a hardware store and someone got a screw in their tire. They argued and screamed at everyone in the store because they thought someone used a drill to put it in their tire on purpose. "Screws have threads, they can't just be pushed into a tire!" Smh

Student brought in a printer for me to help fix. Printing a vase and am noticing slight overextension at one point during each layer. It's spiralized and the same g code is fine on my printer. Any thoughts?

@Lowry3D Hmm.. interesting. I've never experienced that before. It seems like overextrusion on flat layers as well. I didn't show it in the photo, but the surface layers are rough.

@WeShallPai No. The odd thing is I have the exact same printer, but much older. His is brand new, and I'm testing g code from my sd card. Print is perfect on my printer.

@3DPProfessor It looks okay to my untrained eye. I lowered the flow rate to 95% and that seemed to fix most of it. I had to mess with the stepper driver on the z axis, which was way underpowered. I wonder if the extruder driver is turned up? Would that even affect it?

@3DPProfessor Exact same printer. Firmware is different. It wasn't properly assembled and had needed a lot of work to get it put together correctly. It seems to print fine, just overextruding. It's one perimeter with "spiralize outer contour" using Cura.

Consistent overextension in solid layers to me means my e-steps are off

Still haven't missed one, but instead of blind, I guess flick. Then I have bendy as a backup, but it wastes a second e.

@3DPProfessor @Nedchem Okay, so controversial here. I always guess the same 3 words to begin with.
Steam, rough, and blind. It gives all of the vowels, plus several common consonants. From there I can begin formulating guesses. I can't guess anything in less than 4, but I have yet to not get a puzzle.
