Austin has never needed progressive governance. Diversity and inclusion are such politically charged words these days, I hesitate to use them. But the reality is that they have been in the fibers of the city's spirit as long as I've known it. Not because it was mandated, but because people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Unwritten codes and social contracts are far more powerful than authoritarian policy.

Even San Francisco residents stepped up and recalled their radical Soros-funded District Attorney (Chesa Boudin) in June 2022 with a petition that led to a special election where 55% of voters said "no more letting criminals run free to terrorize the community"

This should be a nonpartisan issue. It was Democrats who led the recall effort in SF.
