The Qantas Project Sunrise A350-1000ULR departed Toulouse, France, on an incredible 22-hour non-stop test flight to Melbourne, Australia today 07:30 local time.
F-WULR is undertaking its first long-endurance test flight as Airbus prepares Qantas ultra-long-haul A350-1000ULR for some of the world’s longest commercial flights.
The first Project Sunrise route will connect London Heathrow with Sydney, with a future Sydney–New York service also planned.
Other proposed routes include Melbourne and Brisbane to London, New York, Paris and Chicago.
