[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Sorry, got disconnected, here is the fourth question.

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Ok, here is the fourth question:

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

@shauna_yorkplc Thank you for all the great books, as soon as report cards are done I will run out and spend all my money! #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

@shauna_yorkplc That would be a great book to read to my class. Shoes are a huge thing in my school. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

When I was in teacher's college I took a course called "Actively Educating for Social and Economic Justice". I wish I could do more. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

I find once students discover that there are people in the world that have less food and shelter than them, that they want to help. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Ok, here is question 3. Sorry it is taking so long, my computer is super slow today. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

I read the book "All of the Colors of the Earth" when I did the self portraits.
#yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Well many of your answers seem to lead right into my second question...
#yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

@lindsay_kitchen I agree, that was why I enjoyed teaching kindergarten compared to Grade 6, biases didn't usually run as deep. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

As we talked about in class, I like to do the self portraits and then ask questions about how similar the portraits are to reality. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Here is the first question: #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

Here is an article to begin a conversation centered around social justice and equity in the classroom. #yorku3 https://t.co/yxDat0F2BM

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

It is also useful to analyse the times when students are having difficultly regulating their behaviour and modify the experience. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

I also found it useful to record ABC data and analyse the times, antecedents and functions of the behaviours. #yorku3

[Daniel Stern @mrdstern]

For my grade 1 class, positive reinforcement has worked well for two of my students that have significant behavioural challenges. #yorku3
