100 line poem about The Prophet ﷺ by Ibn Abī al-Izz al-Hanafī رحمه الله
Recited by Ibrāhīm Ibn Abdulrahmān Hassan. Allāhuma Baarik, he exceeds many who call themselves students of knowledge.
@ojora It's simple!
You want pristine Islām, which won't always be fun as it doesn't always align with our desires, follow the scholars upon sunnah/salafiyyah.
You want Islām that your desires will always be comfortable with, follow other than them.
May ALLĀH grant us sound hearts.
These people think Islaam is just about whoever shares stuff that makes them feel aesthetic and pander to their desires.
And this is complete jahl, because it was the Sahābah/Tabi’īn who called themselves Ahlus Sunnah due to different sects emerging such as Shi’a, Qadriyyah, Jahmiyyah, etc. It’s a necessity to differentiate ourselves from false Islaam; by calling themselves Ahlus Sunnah it is known that they followed the Sunnah and accepted the 4 Khalifs unlike the Shi’as who reject them, and allow people not to mix with those who share false beliefs.
By saying “just Muslim” how is one to make clear the correct belief if everyone says “just Muslim”. You will be in a group where the Shi’a is unknown, until he starts teaching people to slander Ā’ishah رضي الله عنها, or the Qadri is unknown until he teaches people to deny the Qadr of Allāh, or the Jahmī is unknown until he teaches everyone to reject that Allāh can hear and see etc.
Now regarding the individuals like Yasir Qadhi, he literally claimed the Qur’ān is not preserved and that it’s not shirk to make du’ā to other than Allāh - if people start taking from this because we’re “just Muslims” what’s to stop them leaving the fold of Islaam if they go down that route?
It’s correct Allāh said we shouldn’t make our own sects, however if you look at the Tafsīr this means those who innovate new beliefs which causes those new groups to start. This does not change the fact we should remain with the “sect” which the Sahābah were upon, since The Prophet ﷺ warned us 72 sects will come all in the hellfire, and only the Jamā’ah (which he ﷺ and the Sahābah were originally upon) will be saved.
So if you claim follow Qur’ān and Sunnah only, realise that it is what orders us to follow the way of the Salaf
