The plan is to wipe out a 1/3 of humanity. The truly wealthy people are the ones that control the Earths natural resources. They believe there is not enough to sustain themselves and the workforce. Now they have AI and don’t need such a large workforce and can cut 1/3 for now and as AI advances they can cut more. These people believe they own the Earth and the working class are their slaves. They also believe the end of the world as we know it is soon and they have to prepare by hoarding power right now.
