Image Comics founder Erik Larsen defends turning long-time characters gay in comics:
"I have known multiple people who were married and had children due to societal pressures who later came out as gay. My best friend’s mom when I was growing up was a lesbian. She had three boys and had been married to a man for years, so even having a character who had dated someone from the opposite sex a couple times doesn’t seem 'unrealistic' to me.
The only real issue is homophobic fans of these characters losing their minds when one of the characters they were a fan of turned out to be gay."
Why is the entertainment industry obsessed with making everything gay?
there is a hand to turn the time/ though thy glass today be run/ till the light that hath brought the towers low/ find the last poor pret’rite one/ till the riders sleep by ev’ry road/ all through our crippl’d zone/ with a face on ev’ry mountainside/ and a soul on ev’ry stone
