Trying to stay out of the live-tweeting thing still but that's an atrocious disallowed goal call in Calgary. Coleman doesn't lift his foot, looks to be stopping, and any form of momentum was putting that puck in. "What's taking so long" turned into something even worse there.
The rule is just so open to interpretation.
I’ve always thought, if it was put in place for safety (to not have players kicking wildly in the crease),
why not allow them all unless it’s deemed a dangerous kick…which would be a penalty.
Not perfect but much less grey.
If the #NHL calls that a goal, it needs to re-write its own rule book and remove the word “distinct.”
That is NOT a distinct kicking motion. Off his boot, sure. But that ain’t a kick.
#Flames prob aren’t coming back to win the series realistically, but the @NHL review process is just sad. How do you take this league serious with so many awful review calls. I love hockey but this league is a fucking joke.
