Both US and EU must learn from India. Per capita income is 1/20th or less than both, much more hotter than both, is second in absolute civilian firearms after the US, has more guns than Europe, yet not as many people die of heat or guns per capita in India.

Before anyone makes the standard claim of "under reporting", understand these stats are based on international studies and modelling not using official data. By official data, India has just 1-2 heat deaths per million during summer. India outperforms the world in many metrics if normalized for per-capita income.

Why is the Hormuz toll booth not acceptable to USA?
Payments are in non dollar currencies. USA is sitting on $30 trillion debt. The strength to print money at will comes significantly from the Petrodollar and MIC. Dilute the Petrodollar and a lot of things start going wrong very quickly. It will make the current 10, 20,30 year bond yields look like a treasure.
In many ways this is an existential war for many countries and systems.
If you look at things from this perspective- why the US military would happily sacrifice so much military hardware for one soldier makes sense.
Though, like all wars - the real action is always behind the scenes.
We are privy to reactions, not the actions.

Sitaram Goel wrote a very important passage on reclaiming Indian history but I have never seen even his die-hard fans mention it.

He writes : -

"...the history of India is the history of Hindu society, of the Hindu nation, and that we do not recognise any Muslim or British period of this history."

"We do not recognise any age of Mamluks or Khaljis or Tughlaks or Lodis or Mughals. We shall instead read our history in terms of our own heroes, in terms of an age of Prithvi Raj Chauhan, an age of Rana Sanga, an age of Krishnadevaraya, an age of Rana Pratap, an age of Shivaji and so on."

"We shall not concede that there ever was a Muslim empire in India.
