I am deeply saddened by reports emerging from Zehri today. Pakistani military forces have once again carried out a large-scale operation involving fighter jets, drones and ground troops, resulting in the killing of Mir Khalil Ahmed Musiani and Umair Ahmed Sumalani, while several others have been injured.

Zehri has been subjected to varying levels of curfew since August 2025. The people of the region continue to endure severe restrictions on their daily lives, with limited access to healthcare, education, transport and livelihoods. This is nothing less than collective punishment of an entire population.

Several residents have been forcibly disappeared during today's operation and taken to undisclosed locations.

I strongly condemn these actions and call on the international community, human rights organisations and democratic governments to take urgent notice of the worsening situation in Balochistan. Silence in the face of such abuses only emboldens the perpetrators.

The events unfolding in Zehri, Khuzdar, reflect a continuing pattern of grave human rights violations across Balochistan. The humiliation and detention of elderly tribal leader Sardar Naseer Ahmed Musiyani, the killing of Mir Khalil Ahmed Musiyani after being taken from his home, and the death of Umair Sumalani during military operations expose the human cost of policies built on force and collective punishment. Such actions deepen fear, suffering, and instability within already affected communities.

Baloch Voice for Justice strongly condemns military raids, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, and the use of collective punishment against civilians. The detention of Mir Zehri Khan Musiyani, Shakar Khan, Sanaullah Musiyani, Umeed Ali Khan, Dost Muhammad, Irshad Ahmed, Fida Ahmed, Saleem, Salman, Elahi Bakhsh and others demonstrates a broader campaign of repression aimed at silencing dissent and crushing demands for justice. These practices violate fundamental human rights and international legal obligations.

The international community, human rights organizations, and democratic institutions must urgently take notice of the worsening situation in Balochistan. Accountability for the killing of Mir Khalil Ahmed Musiyani and Umair Sumalani, the immediate release of all unlawfully detained individuals, and an end to military operations targeting civilian populations are essential steps toward justice. The people of Balochistan have the right to live with dignity, security, and freedom from fear.

Nine months of curfew and lockdown in Zehri Balochistan and the suffering continues. In recent weeks the restrictions have become even harsher. Today my 8 month old cousin passed away after suffering from severe motion and diarrhea because her family could not reach a hospital in time due to the lockdown and lack of medical access.
At the time of her birth her mother was also close to death because there were no proper healthcare facilities available. By a miracle both survived then but today the baby is no longer with us.
This is not just one family’s tragedy. Thousands of children and innocent civilians in Balochistan are suffering silently under these conditions. Eid is approaching but for many families in Balochistan there is no Eid only grief fear and loss.

The Israelis and the Americans who just expected the nations under Persian occupation to rise up and fight Iran without any support, forgot about one fact, it has been almost a century since these people have been occupied, and they face ongoing displacement, persecution, torture and mass hangings. So despite the American and Israeli pep-talks, they will not just get up and fight without means. They know what brutality the Persians are capable of.

The way the Persians are belligerently refusing to negotiate with America, a superpower, reflects their hostility and offers a glimpse of how they have abused nations under their occupation for decades.

The war has revealed to the Persians that things they once considered merely helpful have turned out to be enormously valuable assets. An obvious example is their chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz, which has proven to be of immense importance to them. They are surely wanting to tighten their grip on what has become a significant strategic advantage and a gateway for making excessive unreasonable demands, as they now wield considerable influence over global economics and politics through this strait.

Its importance to the Persians is evident, as they are now claiming sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz. In reality, however, not a single inch of the strait is Persian; it mostly lies along land belonging to the Baloch and Al Ahwaz.

For centuries, this corridor served as a secure route for global trade, but today it has been turned into a tool for coercion and instability. Any shortsighted deals will only deepen the crisis. A sustainable solution lies in recognising historical realities and the right to statehood of the occupied Baloch, Kurd and Ahwazi Arab nations, not in reinforcing crisis producing structures.

This is a festering problem for the wider world and one that needs to be taken seriously.

This coupled with the fact that the Persians, along with their ballistic missiles, their drones, their Iraqi, Houthi and Lebanese allies, will surely be willing to go to drastic lengths to maintain their influence and push their agendas, and keep the Gulf states, America and Israel exactly where they want them.

As their army is preoccupied with the Americans, Iran has now also got tens of thousands of Shia volunteers to control the Baloch, Kurd and Ahwazi occupied nations. They have received volunteers from The Popular Mobilisation Forces (Iraq), The Fatemiyoum Brigade (Afghanistan) and The Zainabiyoun (Pakistan).

Any agreement of peace made under current circumstances is essentially an agreement made on Persian terms, not American terms. So if they can, at present, take such a strong stance on protecting their allies, in the future, when they get even stronger, what will they do? If America agrees to these terms they will inevitably be facing a bigger monster down the line. If America believes it can achieve peace on its own terms, they are gravely mistaken.

If the Americans and Israelis had provided tangible support to the nations under Iranian occupation: Al Ahwaz, Azeris, the Baloch and the Kurds, the Iranian regime would already have been toppled by now. This has been a great miscalculation on their part.

America needs to understand the regional intricacies and the systematic colonisation of other nations by the Persians. If they support the right to statehood of the occupied Baloch, Kurd and Ahwazi Arab nations properly, it would streamline tranquility in the region for the foreseeable future. Then you will have peaceful nations living on the north side of the Strait of Hormuz, in the same way that the Gulf states on the southern side are peaceful, and they don’t wage wars. As long as Iran continues to occupy the many nations and steal their natural resources and wealth to fuel their own agenda, the tensions will remain. If the nations on the north were independent states, the situation would improve. The best way to go, is for these nations to run themselves, then there would be no wild ambitions of regional bullying and world domination, and no devious “axis of resistance”.
