Dabo Swinney walks into every team meeting with 2 signs.
2 signs that say everything about belief and attitude.
And they are backed up by a quote from Gandhi - that's the foundation of their program.
Here's what the signs say, the Gandhi quote behind them, and why it works:🧵
Broken Windows theory, for education:
Dysfunction doesn’t stay contained. It grows.
The more it’s ignored, excused, or even rewarded, the more of it we get. You can see this pattern playing out across schools, workplaces, and public life.
A 3%/2%/2% raise comes nowhere close to inflation and is applied on salaries that are way too low. The support staff deserve a fair wage increase based on the economic buying power they need to thrive. It’s a no brainer. https://t.co/opdmHyqOkR
The people of Nova Scotia need to ask why air isn’t being tested in every school here with public reporting. What are children breathing. Are schools safe! Critical information #nspoli#nsed

It is with the utmost sadness today that we learned of the passing of HRFE Captain Billy Marr. Deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and his work family at HRFE.
There is no doubt he leaves a lasting impact in many ways. I will leave it to other people better positioned to speak to that. However, I do want to mention one of his many accomplishments. It seems to me that Billy exemplified the courage and selflessness embodied by the best of firefighters when, over the past few years, he took on the task of advocating for presumptive cancer legislation and other cancer related initiatives, despite the fact that he himself was deep in a battle. He was instrumental in achieving changes in 2022 that will benefit future Nova Scotian firefighters suffering from job related illness. In truly selfless fashion, he did this so that others coming after him could be taken care of.
This is just one example of how he leaves an impact in so many ways. He will surely be missed by all he knew. Again, my condolences to all. Rest easy, @hockeytrainer77.
