Just over a week after submitting the GTPA and finding some evidence I used at home, it’s amazing to think back on the whole process, the growth and development of the students throughout the unit I was able to teach and it will be a great tool for future teaching #ACUedu_p

To complete the Solar System unit today in Science my Year 5’s tested the power of the Sun within the Solar System. Using a pizza box as an oven to roast marshmallows 😋 All students loved being outside the classroom and tasting their results to draw conclusions #ACUedu_p

Completed my 2D shapes unit this week. I’m glad to say that my unit was a success; the post test showed great results and I couldn’t be happier with them. #acuedu_p

Today was the last visit from my Tertiary Supervisor and once again received some really positive and constructive feedback. It’s great to be reassured of the improvement in my teaching after visits. Now it’s time to put the final pieces together and enjoy the last days #ACUedu_p

Saw one of the best Homework Presentation tasks yesterday from a student in one of the other Stage 3 classes, as a cricket fan this was amazing. What a great way to integrate sport and homework!! #ACUedu_p

My experience from our Zoo Excursion was very similar. Such an insightful and enjoyable day for the Students but it can be a tiring day for the teachers #ACUedu_p

Yesterday was my first excursion with infants and it was one of the most tiring experiences of my teaching career. Powerhouse museum was extremely interesting for the students and you could tell that every student was interested in most exhibits. Overall, a great day #acuedu_p

Week 4 done and a definite highlight this week, on top of Book Week was the staff kahoot at today’s Assembly. What a great way to engage the whole school community and spark some friendly competition between the staff. Unfortunately couldn’t run a placing #ACUedu_p

RFF this afternoon was spent reflecting, planning lessons and units for the coming weeks as well as discussing my lesson to be supervised. Just shows there’s always something to be doing as a teacher and how important it is to be prepared for upcoming lessons. #ACUedu_p

Week 2 of prac done 👌 This week I delved further into problem solving in mathematics by conducting an investigation within the outdoor environment. I found this to be a great strategy to increase engagement and provide students will a hands-on lesson #acuedu_p
