It's not too late to check out 2022's #DitchSummit. What a kick-off: @jmattmiller and @MisterMinor! Mr. Minor, you visited my district (BRSSD) years ago, and you helped change the trajectory of my teaching. Forever grateful for you. #csufedtech
@msstaniszewski @desmosclassroom I didn't know you could record audio in @desmosclassroom! Every Math teacher I know loves this tool. #csufedtech#ralstonchat
@mrnekstrom A4: When Ss are problem solving through rich math tasks, they know they can work on the [dry erase] desktops, mini whiteboards, pencil & paper, or large whiteboards (& @Wipebook) all around the classroom. #VNPS encourage nonlinear thinking & creativity too!
@mrnekstrom Absolutely. One example is students using GIFs from https://t.co/9tvBBtL3Mx when completing Frayer Charts to learn concepts like Tier II vocab, or learning Literary Schema like characterization. #ralstonchat#csufedtech
A2: I give my students as much choice as possible to promote creativity, I may provide a little guideline and some ideas but then let them complete the task however they wish.

A2: "Creativity" can be one of those hard topics to quantify. I think of "creative expression" and also "thinking creatively", aka thinking outside the box. How do you get your students to approach their work creatively?

@History_Lange That sounds awesome, Christy? Can you give me an example of how different students approach one of your assignments? Visual, verbal, etc.? #csufedtech#ralstonchat
@MaiaBromberg Maia, I wish I had learned math the "multiple paths" way. Does collaboration play a role in students feeling comfortable thinking creatively in math class? #csufedtech#ralstonchat
