@CommodoreFormat Surprised it didn't score higher, for its day it was good fun, a little sluggish perhaps but you could score some nice goals. The Lynx version was decent too. The follow-up Euro 92 game (John Barnes) was much slicker but was like playing through a sideways letterbox; gutted tbh.
@16bitnostalgia I hated the first RE, the camera angles and control system flew in the face of everything I learned playing Doom etc. 4 was so well received on the Wii that I reluctantly bought it and, eventually Stockholm syndrome kicked in and I learned to love it.
@16bitnostalgia Totally, that's pretty recent by retro standards (MW2) but also over a decade ago which is ages. Trying to think about the most recent thing/time I'm nostalgic about and it's probably (non-gaming) 2012 Olympics (cheesy I know). Gaming-wise, just replayed RE4 Wii, it's still ππ
@16bitnostalgia Hahaha we're no longer the future, man. And I'm okay with that. And tbf, playing the Wii again now with my 3yo certainly makes me nostalgic for the mid naughties (please don't tear up my retro gaming membership card)
@_sean_n lol no it isn't, it's just trying to do it's best approximation of one but has only ever read two earth books: Jekyll & Hyde and The Beano Annual from 1975
